勿以口所許、陷於罪戾、毋告祭司、以所許之言為誤、恐上帝震怒、敗爾所為。

夢多虛幻必多、言多亦若是、惟當敬畏天主、○

Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger,“ My vow was a mistake.” Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands?

Don’t let your mouth cause you to sin. Don’t say to the temple messenger,“ My promise was a mistake.” Why should God be angry with what you say? Why should he destroy what you have done?

Let not your mouth lead you into sin, and do not say before the messenger that it was a mistake. Why should God be angry at your voice and destroy the work of your hands?

Don’t let your mouth make you sin. And don’t defend yourself by telling the Temple messenger that the promise you made was a mistake. That would make God angry, and he might wipe out everything you have achieved.

Do not let your mouth bring guilt on you, and do not say in the presence of the messenger that it was a mistake. Why should God be angry with your words and destroy the work of your hands?

人若自以為虔敬、而不捫其舌、自欺其心、其虔敬虛矣、

祭司之脣、宜存智識、人當求法律於其口、以其為萬軍耶和華之使也、

拯我出患難之使者、願其錫嘏童蒙、使歸我及我祖父亞伯拉罕以撒名下、繁衍於地、

夫我儕於事多蹶、惟言語無蹶者、是為完人、能範其身、

祭司遂為以色列會眾贖罪、俾蒙赦宥、因係誤犯、且為其咎、已獻火祭、及贖罪祭於耶和華、

如人造次發誓、行善行惡、而不自知、無論所誓何若、迨及知之、則為有罪、以上數罪、若犯其一、則當自認其罪、因其所犯之罪、必攜牝羊、或羔羊或山羊、以為補過贖罪之祭、獻於耶和華、祭司代為贖罪、

詣上帝室、慎爾步履、蓋前而聽、愈於愚人獻祭、以其不知所行乃惡也、爾於上帝前、勿造次啟口、勿心急出言、緣上帝在天、爾在地、故宜寡言、

萬軍之耶和華曰、我遣我使備路於我前、爾所求之主、必忽臨厥殿、盟約之使、爾所慕者、將至矣、

是以為天使故、女宜蒙首以為服權之表、

天使非皆服役之神、奉遣以事蒙救者乎、

我於上帝與基督耶穌、及蒙選之天使前、諭爾守此、勿執成見、勿行偏僻、

哈該曰、耶和華云、斯民斯族於我前亦若是、其手所作之工、及所獻之物、皆為不潔、請爾追思、此日以前、耶和華之殿、未疊石於石上之先、歷時如是之久、人至穀堆、冀得二十、僅得其十、人至酒油、望得五十、僅得二十、耶和華曰、我以暴風毒黴大雹、擊爾於爾手之工作、而爾猶不歸我、

如以可獻之牲畜、許於耶和華、則必以為聖、美惡毋相易、如以此易彼、則所許所易者、俱必為聖、

各工必顯、至日乃彰、蓋以火昭著、各工如何、火必驗之、人所建於其上之工若存、則將得值、若焚、則將受損、惟己得救、有若脫火焉、○

爾望多而得少、攜之而歸、我則噓之、萬軍之耶和華曰、此何故耶、因我室荒涼、爾各亟於己室也、以爾之故、天靳其露、地靳其果、我命旱乾臨於斯土山岡、穀酒與油、暨地所產、其人與畜、爰及爾手勞而得者、○

逾四十年、天使於西乃山之野、棘叢火焰中、見於摩西、摩西見而奇之、近而諦視、有主之聲曰、吾乃爾列祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、之上帝也、摩西戰慄而不敢視、主謂之曰、解爾履、蓋爾所立之處、聖地也、我誠見吾民在埃及之苦、且聞其慨歎、故臨以拯之、今來、吾將遣爾入埃及也、夫此摩西、即民所拒云、誰立爾為有司刑官者、乃上帝以棘叢中所見天使之手、遣之為有司為援救者矣、

與使者角力而獲勝、哭泣懇求之、上帝遇之於伯特利、在彼與我儕言、彼乃萬軍之上帝耶和華、耶和華乃其誌名也、
