A person like that doesn’t have to think about how their life is going. That’s because God fills their heart with joy.

God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past.

My chosen ones will fully enjoy the work of their hands.They will not labor without success or bear children destined for disaster, for they will be a people blessed by the LORD along with their descendants.Even before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.

Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says:“ Look! My servants will eat, but you will be hungry. Look! My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. Look! My servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.Look! My servants will shout for joy from a glad heart, but you will cry out from an anguished heart, and you will lament out of a broken spirit.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The little that the righteous person has is better than the abundance of many wicked people.

Because you didn’t serve the LORD your God with joy and a cheerful heart, even though you had an abundance of everything,

The LORD will grant you a blessing on your barns and on everything you do; he will bless you in the land the LORD your God is giving you.The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he swore to you, if you obey the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways.Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you bear the LORD’s name, and they will stand in awe of you.The LORD will make you prosper abundantly with offspring, the offspring of your livestock, and your land’s produce in the land the LORD swore to your ancestors to give you.The LORD will open for you his abundant storehouse, the sky, to give your land rain in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.

Many are asking,“ Who can show us anything good?” Let the light of your face shine on us, LORD.You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and new wine abound.

This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly.For rarely will someone die for a just person— though for a good person perhaps someone might even dare to die.But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.How much more then, since we have now been justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from wrath.For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.And not only that, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.

You welcome the one who joyfully does what is right; they remember you in your ways. But we have sinned, and you were angry. How can we be saved if we remain in our sins?
