若一人傾跌、則一人為之扶持、獨居而蹶、援手無人、豈不難哉。

若是跌倒，这人可以扶起他的同伴；若是孤身跌倒，没有别人扶起他来，这人就有祸了。

苟有傾跌、可相扶持、惟孤身而傾跌、無扶持者、禍哉其人、

若傾跌、則互相扶持、若孤身而跌、可歎無人援之起、

If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Suppose either of them falls down. Then the one can help the other one up. But suppose a person falls down and doesn’t have anyone to help them up. Then feel sorry for that person!

For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!

If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up.

故當彼此勸慰、以成厥德、猶爾常行、

見有手足疲倦者、則為之扶持、若人喪膽、則告之曰、強爾志、毋畏葸、爾之上帝、將臨汝、以伸爾冤、報爾仇、加以援手、

兄弟乎、人偶有過、感於神者、當平心規正之、亦當內省、恐己見惑焉、

爾當以斯言相慰藉、

嗣後該隱與弟晤談、及至田間、攻而殺之。○

哀既止、大闢遣人、召之入宮、為妻生子、然大闢所為、耶和華不悅。

亞倫曰、爾妻孥垂耳之金環、脫以予我。民即脫之、以授亞倫。亞倫受之、鎔鑄其金、刀刻為犢、有稱之者曰、以色列族乎、導爾出埃及之上帝、即此。

主曰、西門、西門、撒但欲簸爾曹若麥、然我為爾祈、使爾信不渝、反正後、可堅爾兄弟、

在田相鬥、排解無人、甲擊其乙、以至於斃。

昔爾訓眾、勞者勞之、懦者起之、危者扶之、

掃羅子約拿單入林、與大闢相見、俾其惟上帝是賴、

然彼得至安提阿時、有可責處、我面詰之、蓋雅各遣人未至、彼得與異邦人同食、及至、彼得畏受割者、則出而避之、其餘猶太人相率為偽、誘巴拿巴、亦效尤焉、我見其行不正、不遵福音真理、於眾前語彼得云、爾猶太人也、若從異邦、不從猶太人、則又何使異邦人從猶太人乎、

謂亞倫曰、斯民何負於爾、使陷重罪。

拿單告大闢曰、作此者爾也。以色列族之上帝耶和華云、我沐爾以膏、為以色列王、援爾於掃羅手、得據爾主之業、取爾主之妻、以以色列猶大二族、畀爾治理、爾猶以為寡、我更給爾貨財、難以悉計。何藐視我命、行惡於我前、藉亞捫族之刃、殺赫人烏利亞、而取其妻為妻。爾既藐視我、以赫人烏利亞之妻為妻、人必以刃擊爾家、歷久不已。耶和華又云、我必使惡人生於爾家、爾之骨肉奪爾嬪妃、白晝宣淫、為爾目擊。爾隱行是惡、我將於以色列族前顯以報爾。大闢曰、我犯罪於耶和華。拿單曰、耶和華已宥爾罪、不至死亡。爾之作為若此、使逆耶和華之人愈生厭惡、故爾所得之子必死。
