若傾跌、則互相扶持、若孤身而跌、可歎無人援之起、

If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

Suppose either of them falls down. Then the one can help the other one up. But suppose a person falls down and doesn’t have anyone to help them up. Then feel sorry for that person!

For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!

If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

And when her mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.

And Aaron said to them,“ Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.”So all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron.And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said,“ This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”

And the Lord said,“ Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

Now your maidservant had two sons; and the two fought with each other in the field, and there was no one to part them, but the one struck the other and killed him.

Surely you have instructed many, And you have strengthened weak hands.Your words have upheld him who was stumbling, And you have strengthened the feeble knees;

Then Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose and went to David in the woods and strengthened his hand in God.

Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed;for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.But when I saw that they were not straight forward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all,“ If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?

And Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?”

For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure with which the Lord was angry with you, to destroy you. But the Lord listened to me at that time also.And the Lord was very angry with Aaron and would have destroyed him; so I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.

Then Nathan said to David,“ You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel:‘ I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon.Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’Thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.’”So David said to Nathan,“ I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David,“ The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.”
