故我思、人莫若樂享所經營者、以為可得之分惟此、身後之事、孰能使之逆睹哉、

So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?

So a person should enjoy their work. That’s what God made them for. I saw that there’s nothing better for them to do than that. After all, who can show them what will happen after they are gone?

So I saw that there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his work, for that is his lot. Who can bring him to see what will be after him?

So I saw that there is nothing better for people than to be happy in their work. That is our lot in life. And no one can bring us back to see what happens after we die.

I have seen that there is nothing better than for a person to enjoy his activities because that is his reward. For who can enable him to see what will happen after he dies?

I have seen that nothing is better than when a person is happy in his activities, for that is his lot. For who will bring him to see what will occur after him?

So I perceived that nothing is better than that a man should rejoice in his own works, for that is his heritage. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?

Wherefore I saw that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him back to see what shall be after him?

I have seen that there is nothing better than for a person to enjoy his activities because that is his reward. For who can enable him to see what will happen after he dies?

人式食式飲、享福於操作、無善於此、依我觀之、亦由上帝手也、

彼造諸物、皆適其時、無不美善、置悠久之念於人心、然其所為、自始至終、人莫能測、我知世人畢生懽愉行善、無愈於此、

未來之事、彼不之知、其事之終、孰能告之、

愚者多言、將來之事、人所不知、身後之事、孰能預告、

人之畢生、虛度之日如影、何者有益於彼、孰其知之、逝世之後、日下將有何事、孰能告之、

宜恆樂於主、我復言之、爾其樂哉、爾之溫良、宜表於眾、主伊邇矣、

維爾少者、幼時其欣喜、中心懽忭、行爾心所欲、視爾目所悅、惟當知上帝必為此諸事鞫爾、

我所見為善為美者、人在上帝所賜有生之期、飲食而享於日下勞而得者、此乃其值也、凡蒙上帝賜以資財富有、俾能享受、而取其值、樂其所勞、此乃上帝之賜也、彼不多念其在世之日、蓋上帝應其中心之樂也、

耶和華歟、爾所賜我之地、其所產之初實、我攜之至、遂置於爾上帝耶和華前、而行崇拜、爾與利未人、及居爾中之賓旅、緣爾上帝耶和華賜爾暨家之福、而喜樂焉、○

其子尊榮、彼不之知、降為卑賤、亦不之覺、

故勿為明日慮、明日之慮、明日慮之、是日之勞、是日足矣、

人不自知其時、魚入於網、鳥罹於羅、患難猝臨之日、世人陷於其中、亦若是也、○

其往樂意以食餅、懽心以飲酒、蓋上帝悅爾所為也、爾衣當恆潔白、爾首勿缺香膏、上帝所畀爾於日下生存之期、咸屬虛空、當與所愛之妻、歡然度日、此為爾於日下畢生操作、所得之值也、

我目所欲者、我不阻之、我心所悅者、我不禁之、我所勞者、我心樂之、此即由勞所獲之值也、我觀我手所作諸工、及勞力之操作、乃知悉屬虛空、莫非捕風、於日下無所裨益、○

在彼食於爾上帝耶和華前、與爾眷屬、樂乎爾手所為、即爾上帝耶和華錫嘏之事、

爾其往哉、以待終期、爾將安息、末日既屆、立於爾業、

惟於爾上帝耶和華所選之處、爾與子女僕婢、及居爾邑之利未人食之、樂乎爾手所為、於爾上帝耶和華前、

勤而毋怠、熱衷事主、喜於望、忍於難、恆於禱、

我遂揄揚喜樂、蓋飲食懽愉、人在日下無愈於此、上帝使人生於日下、此福恆在勤勞之中、○

曰、但以理歟、爾其往哉、因斯言封而鈐之、以俟末期、將有多人自潔而白、以得試鍊、惟惡人仍行惡、惡者不悟此、智者則悟焉、

爾當富有之時、不中心欣喜、奉事爾上帝耶和華、
