“ Sing, barren, you who didn’t give birth; break out into singing, and cry aloud, you who didn’t travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” says Yahweh.

The time came near that Israel must die, and he called his son Joseph, and said to him,“ If now I have found favor in your sight, please put your hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me. Please don’t bury me in Egypt,

He cried against the altar by Yahweh’s word, and said,“ Altar! Altar! Yahweh says:‘ Behold, a son will be born to David’s house, Josiah by name. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and they will burn men’s bones on you.’”

Behold, Elizabeth, your relative, also has conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.

He said,“ At this season, when the time comes around, you will embrace a son.” She said,“ No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your servant.”

At the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy it;if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to them.At the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;if they do that which is evil in my sight, that they not obey my voice, then I will repent of the good with which I said I would benefit them.

I begged Yahweh at that time, saying,“ Lord Yahweh, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or in earth that can do works like yours, and mighty acts like yours?Please let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that fine mountain, and Lebanon.”But Yahweh was angry with me because of you, and didn’t listen to me. Yahweh said to me,“ That is enough! Speak no more to me of this matter.

So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to Yahweh’s word.

Behold, I have today set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to uproot and to tear down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity,

Behold, you will be silent and not able to speak, until the day that these things will happen, because you didn’t believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time.”

But he answered,“ Every plant which my heavenly Father didn’t plant will be uprooted.

He dug it up, gathered out its stones, planted it with the choicest vine, built a tower in the middle of it, and also cut out a wine press in it. He looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded wild grapes.“ Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to yield grapes, did it yield wild grapes?Now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be eaten up. I will break down its wall, and it will be trampled down.

“ He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’“ The servants asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and gather them up?’“ But he said,‘ No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them.

They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.

“ Aaron shall be gathered to his people; for he shall not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah.Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up to Mount Hor;and strip Aaron of his garments, and put them on Eleazar his son. Aaron shall be gathered, and shall die there.”Moses did as Yahweh commanded. They went up onto Mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them on Eleazar his son. Aaron died there on the top of the mountain, and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

But the angel said to him,“ Don’t be afraid, Zacharias, because your request has been heard, and your wife, Elizabeth, will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

Yahweh visited Sarah as he had said, and Yahweh did to Sarah as he had spoken.Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread. Those who were hungry are satisfied. Yes, the barren has borne seven. She who has many children languishes.

“ You shall tell him, Yahweh says:‘ Behold, that which I have built, I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

God will likewise destroy you forever. He will take you up, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered;because in the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.”( These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)

“ But as the time of the promise came close which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.”

“ Go, and tell Hezekiah,‘ Yahweh, the God of David your father, says,“ I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.
