Since man’s days are determined, the number of his months is under your control; you have set his limit and he cannot pass it.

And just as people are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment,

When a woman gives birth, she has distress because her time has come, but when her child is born, she no longer remembers the suffering because of her joy that a human being has been born into the world.

But when the appropriate time had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

“ Does not humanity have hard service on earth? Are not their days also like the days of a hired man?

At that time Moses was born, and he was beautiful to God. For three months he was brought up in his father’s house,

He makes the barren woman of the family a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD!

If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait until my release comes.

In those days Hezekiah was stricken with a terminal illness. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz visited him and told him,“ This is what the LORD says,‘ Give instructions to your household, for you are about to die; you will not get well.’”

“ Shout for joy, O barren one who has not given birth! Give a joyful shout and cry out, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate one are more numerous than the children of the married woman,” says the LORD.

The time for Israel to die approached, so he called for his son Joseph and said to him,“ If now I have found favor in your sight, put your hand under my thigh and show me kindness and faithfulness. Do not bury me in Egypt,

With the authority of the LORD he cried out against the altar,“ O altar, altar! This is what the LORD says,‘ Look, a son named Josiah will be born to the Davidic dynasty. He will sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who offer sacrifices on you. Human bones will be burned on you.’”

“ And look, your relative Elizabeth has also become pregnant with a son in her old age– although she was called barren, she is now in her sixth month!

He said,“ About this time next year you will be holding a son.” She said,“ No, my master! O prophet, do not lie to your servant!”

There are times, Jeremiah, when I threaten to uproot, tear down, and destroy a nation or kingdom.But if that nation I threatened stops doing wrong, I will cancel the destruction I intended to do to it.And there are times when I promise to build up and establish a nation or kingdom.But if that nation does what displeases me and does not obey me, then I will cancel the good I promised to do to it.

Moreover, at that time I pleaded with the LORD,“ O, Lord GOD, you have begun to show me your greatness and strength.( What god in heaven or earth can rival your works and mighty deeds?)Let me please cross over to see the good land on the other side of the Jordan River– this good hill country and the Lebanon!”But the LORD was angry at me because of you and would not listen to me. Instead, he said to me,“ Enough of that! Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

So Moses, the servant of the LORD, died there in the land of Moab as the LORD had said.

Know for certain that I hereby give you the authority to announce to nations and kingdoms that they will be uprooted and torn down, destroyed and demolished, rebuilt and firmly planted.”

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom everything that causes sin as well as all lawbreakers.

And now, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time, you will be silent, unable to speak, until the day these things take place.”

And he replied,“ Every plant that my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted.

He built a hedge around it, removed its stones, and planted a vine. He built a tower in the middle of it, and constructed a winepress. He waited for it to produce edible grapes, but it produced sour ones instead.So now, residents of Jerusalem, people of Judah, you decide between me and my vineyard!What more can I do for my vineyard beyond what I have already done? When I waited for it to produce edible grapes, why did it produce sour ones instead?Now I will inform you what I am about to do to my vineyard: I will remove its hedge and turn it into pasture, I will break its wall and allow animals to graze there.

He said,‘ An enemy has done this.’ So the slaves replied,‘ Do you want us to go and gather them?’But he said,‘ No, since in gathering the weeds you may uproot the wheat with them.

So then they tried to seize Jesus, but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come.

“ Aaron will be gathered to his ancestors, for he will not enter into the land I have given to the Israelites because both of you rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah.Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up on Mount Hor.Remove Aaron’s priestly garments and put them on Eleazar his son, and Aaron will be gathered to his ancestors and will die there.”So Moses did as the LORD commanded; and they went up Mount Hor in the sight of the whole community.And Moses removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar. So Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. And Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

But the angel said to him,“ Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son; you will name him John.

The LORD visited Sarah just as he had said he would and did for Sarah what he had promised.So Sarah became pregnant and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the appointed time that God had told him.

Those who are well-fed hire themselves out to earn food, but the hungry no longer lack. Even the barren woman gives birth to seven, but the one with many children withers away.

The LORD told Jeremiah,“ Tell Baruch,‘ The LORD says,“ I am about to tear down what I have built and to uproot what I have planted. I will do this throughout the whole earth.

Yet God will make you a permanent heap of ruins. He will scoop you up and remove you from your home; he will uproot you from the land of the living.( Selah)

Then the LORD said to Moses,“ Go up this mountain of the Abarim range, and see the land I have given to the Israelites.When you have seen it, you will be gathered to your ancestors, as Aaron your brother was gathered to his ancestors.For in the wilderness of Zin when the community rebelled against me, you rebelled against my command to show me as holy before their eyes over the water– the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.”

“ But as the time drew near for God to fulfill the promise he had declared to Abraham, the people increased greatly in number in Egypt,

But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.”

“ Go and tell Hezekiah:‘ This is what the LORD God of your ancestor David says:“ I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Look, I will add fifteen years to your life,
