I also noticed that under the sun there is evil in the courtroom. Yes, even the courts of law are corrupt!

我又见日光之下，在审判之处有奸恶，在公义之处也有奸恶。

我又见日光之下，应有公平之处有奸恶，应有公义之处也有奸恶。

我又见日光之下，应有公平之处有奸恶，应有公义之处也有奸恶。

我又看到日光之下，即使在公道和正义之地也有邪恶。

我在日光之下又看见：审判的地方有奸恶，维护公义的地方也有奸恶。

我还看到在日光之下，在审判的地方有奸恶，在公义的地方也有奸恶。

我又見日光之下，在審判之處有奸惡，在公義之處也有奸惡。

我又見日光之下，應有公平之處有奸惡，應有公義之處也有奸惡。

我又見日光之下，應有公平之處有奸惡，應有公義之處也有奸惡。

我又看到日光之下，即使在公道和正義之地也有邪惡。

我在日光之下又看見：審判的地方有奸惡，維護公義的地方也有奸惡。

我又看日光之下甚麼地方在執行着公道，甚麼地方就有奸惡，甚麼地方有公義，甚麼地方也有奸惡。

我還看到在日光之下，在審判的地方有奸惡，在公義的地方也有奸惡。

我觀日下、公庭有不公、義所有不義、

我遍覽天下、公庭聽訟、當秉公義、而反狥私、

我又見日下審判之所、竟有偏私、當行公義之處、反有不義、

And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment— wickedness was there, in the place of justice— wickedness was there.

Here’s something else I saw on earth. Where people should be treated right, they are treated wrong. Where people should be treated fairly, they are treated unfairly.

Moreover, I saw under the sun that in the place of justice, even there was wickedness, and in the place of righteousness, even there was wickedness.

I also observed under the sun: there is wickedness at the place of judgment and there is wickedness at the place of righteousness.

Furthermore, I have seen under the sun that in the place of justice there is wickedness and in the place of righteousness there is wickedness.

Moreover I saw under the sun: In the place of judgment, Wickedness was there; And in the place of righteousness, Iniquity was there.

And moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.

I also observed under the sun: there is wickedness at the place of judgment and there is wickedness at the place of righteousness.

And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment,[ that] wickedness[ was] there; and the place of righteousness,[ that] iniquity[ was] there.

I saw something else on earth: In the place of justice, there was wickedness, and in the place of fairness, there was wickedness.

Moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.

Again, I observed all the oppression that takes place under the sun. I saw the tears of the oppressed, with no one to comfort them. The oppressors have great power, and their victims are helpless.

Don’t be surprised if you see a poor person being oppressed by the powerful and if justice is being miscarried throughout the land. For every official is under orders from higher up, and matters of justice get lost in red tape and bureaucracy.

But you dishonor the poor! Isn’t it the rich who oppress you and drag you into court?

They gang up against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.But the Lord is my fortress; my God is the mighty rock where I hide.

When you want a piece of land, you find a way to seize it. When you want someone’s house, you take it by fraud and violence. You cheat a man of his property, stealing his family’s inheritance.

Inside, the leading priests and the entire high council were trying to find witnesses who would lie about Jesus, so they could put him to death.

“ How long will you hand down unjust decisions by favoring the wicked? Interlude“ Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.Rescue the poor and helpless; deliver them from the grasp of evil people.But these oppressors know nothing; they are so ignorant! They wander about in darkness, while the whole world is shaken to the core.

Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed.

Justice— do you rulers know the meaning of the word? Do you judge the people fairly?No! You plot injustice in your hearts. You spread violence throughout the land.

Its leaders are like roaring lions hunting for their victims. Its judges are like ravenous wolves at evening time, who by dawn have left no trace of their prey.

In her letters she commanded:“ Call the citizens together for a time of fasting, and give Naboth a place of honor.And then seat two scoundrels across from him who will accuse him of cursing God and the king. Then take him out and stone him to death.”So the elders and other town leaders followed the instructions Jezebel had written in the letters.They called for a fast and put Naboth at a prominent place before the people.Then the two scoundrels came and sat down across from him. And they accused Naboth before all the people, saying,“ He cursed God and the king.” So he was dragged outside the town and stoned to death.The town leaders then sent word to Jezebel,“ Naboth has been stoned to death.”When Jezebel heard the news, she said to Ahab,“ You know the vineyard Naboth wouldn’t sell you? Well, you can have it now! He’s dead!”So Ahab immediately went down to the vineyard of Naboth to claim it.But the Lord said to Elijah,“ Go down to meet King Ahab of Israel, who rules in Samaria. He will be at Naboth’s vineyard in Jezreel, claiming it for himself.Give him this message:‘ This is what the Lord says: Wasn’t it enough that you killed Naboth? Must you rob him, too? Because you have done this, dogs will lick your blood at the very place where they licked the blood of Naboth!’”“ So, my enemy, you have found me!” Ahab exclaimed to Elijah.“ Yes,” Elijah answered,“ I have come because you have sold yourself to what is evil in the Lord’s sight.So now the Lord says,‘ I will bring disaster on you and consume you. I will destroy every one of your male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel!

Both their hands are equally skilled at doing evil! Officials and judges alike demand bribes. The people with influence get what they want, and together they scheme to twist justice.

But Paul said to him,“ God will slap you, you corrupt hypocrite! What kind of judge are you to break the law yourself by ordering me struck like that?”
