I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.

in hope of eternal life, which God, who can’t lie, promised before time began;

Pilate therefore said to him,“ Aren’t you speaking to me? Don’t you know that I have power to release you and have power to crucify you?”Jesus answered,“ You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin.”

Though a sinner commits crimes a hundred times, and lives long, yet surely I know that it will be better with those who fear God, who are reverent before him.But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he lengthen days like a shadow, because he doesn’t fear God.

At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honored him who lives forever; for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom from generation to generation.All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and no one can stop his hand, or ask him,“ What are you doing?”

According to their deeds, he will repay as appropriate, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; he will repay the islands their due.So they will fear Yahweh’s name from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which Yahweh’s breath drives.

It is good that you should take hold of this. Yes, also don’t withdraw your hand from that; for he who fears God will come out of them all.

Your faithfulness is to all generations. You have established the earth, and it remains.Your laws remain to this day, for all things serve you.

After this, Jesus, seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said,“ I am thirsty.”Now a vessel full of vinegar was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said,“ It is finished.” He bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.Therefore the Jews, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies wouldn’t remain on the cross on the Sabbath( for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.Therefore the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was crucified with him;but when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was already dead, they didn’t break his legs.However one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.For these things happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled,“ A bone of him will not be broken.”Again another Scripture says,“ They will look on him whom they pierced.”

I declare the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done. I say: My counsel will stand, and I will do all that I please.

“ Now I will show you the truth. Behold, three more kings will stand up in Persia; and the fourth will be far richer than all of them. When he has grown strong through his riches, he will stir up all against the realm of Greece.A mighty king will stand up, who will rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.When he stands up, his kingdom will be broken, and will be divided toward the four winds of the sky, but not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion with which he ruled; for his kingdom will be plucked up, even for others besides these.

Therefore it will happen that when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his arrogant looks.For he has said,“ By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I have understanding. I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, I have gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”Should an ax brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.

All mankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done.

Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.

For in the multitude of dreams there are vanities, as well as in many words; but you must fear God.

to do whatever your hand and your council foreordained to happen.

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against Yahweh.

The male goat magnified himself exceedingly. When he was strong, the great horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of the sky.

Don’t you add to his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail.

him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;

according to the eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Who wouldn’t fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you only are holy. For all the nations will come and worship before you. For your righteous acts have been revealed.”
