I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.

I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him.

Even though a sinner might commit a hundred crimes and still live a long time, yet I know that it will go well with God-fearing people– for they stand in fear before him.But it will not go well with the wicked, nor will they prolong their days like a shadow, because they do not stand in fear before God.

But at the end of the appointed time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven, and my sanity returned to me. I extolled the Most High, and I praised and glorified the one who lives forever. For his authority is an everlasting authority, and his kingdom extends from one generation to the next.All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he wishes with the army of heaven and with those who inhabit the earth. No one slaps his hand and says to him,‘ What have you done?’

He repays them for what they have done, dispensing angry judgment to his adversaries and punishing his enemies. He repays the coastlands.In the west, people respect the LORD’s reputation; in the east they recognize his splendor. For he comes like a rushing stream driven on by wind sent from the LORD.

It is best to take hold of one warning without letting go of the other warning; for the one who fears God will follow both warnings.

You demonstrate your faithfulness to all generations. You established the earth and it stood firm.Today they stand firm by your decrees, for all things are your servants.

After this Jesus, realizing that by this time everything was completed, said( in order to fulfill the scripture),“ I am thirsty!”A jar full of sour wine was there, so they put a sponge soaked in sour wine on a branch of hyssop and lifted it to his mouth.When he had received the sour wine, Jesus said,“ It is completed!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.Then, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies should not stay on the crosses on the Sabbath( for that Sabbath was an especially important one), the Jewish leaders asked Pilate to have the victims’ legs broken and the bodies taken down.So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the two men who had been crucified with Jesus, first the one and then the other.But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and blood and water flowed out immediately.And the person who saw it has testified( and his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth), so that you also may believe.For these things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled,“ Not a bone of his will be broken.”And again another scripture says,“ They will look on the one whom they have pierced.”

who announces the end from the beginning and reveals beforehand what has not yet occurred, who says,‘ My plan will be realized, I will accomplish what I desire,’

Now I will tell you the truth.“ Three more kings will arise for Persia. Then a fourth king will be unusually rich, more so than all who preceded him. When he has amassed power through his riches, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece.Then a powerful king will arise, exercising great authority and doing as he pleases.Shortly after his rise to power, his kingdom will be broken up and distributed toward the four winds of the sky– but not to his posterity or with the authority he exercised, for his kingdom will be uprooted and distributed to others besides these.

But when the sovereign master finishes judging Mount Zion and Jerusalem, then I will punish the king of Assyria for what he has proudly planned and for the arrogant attitude he displays.For he says:“ By my strong hand I have accomplished this, by my strategy that I devised. I invaded the territory of nations, and looted their storehouses. Like a mighty conqueror, I brought down rulers.My hand discovered the wealth of the nations, as if it were in a nest, as one gathers up abandoned eggs, I gathered up the whole earth. There was no wing flapping, or open mouth chirping.”Does an ax exalt itself over the one who wields it, or a saw magnify itself over the one who cuts with it? As if a scepter should brandish the one who raises it, or a staff should lift up what is not made of wood!

and all people will fear. They will proclaim what God has done, and reflect on his deeds.

Certainly your angry judgment upon men will bring you praise; you reveal your anger in full measure.

Just as there is futility in many dreams, so also in many words. Therefore, fear God!

to do as much as your power and your plan had decided beforehand would happen.

There is no wisdom and there is no understanding, and there is no counsel against the LORD.

The male goat acted even more arrogantly. But no sooner had the large horn become strong than it was broken, and there arose four conspicuous horns in its place, extending toward the four winds of the sky.

Do not add to his words, lest he reprove you, and prove you to be a liar.

There are many plans in a person’s mind, but it is the counsel of the LORD which will stand.

this man, who was handed over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you executed by nailing him to a cross at the hands of Gentiles.

This was according to the eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,

Who will not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name, because you alone are holy? All nations will come and worship before you for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
