I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem as well— the delights of a man’s heart.

I stored up silver and gold for myself. I gathered up the treasures of kings and their kingdoms. I got some male and female singers. I also got many women for myself. Women delight the hearts of men.

所羅門王以金之次者金之次者或作金葉下同作盾二百、每盾用金六百舍客勒、又以金之次者作干三百、每干用金三百舍客勒、王置之於利巴嫩林宮、王用象牙作大寶座、飾以精金、座之階級有六、有金足凳、與座相連、座之左右、有扶手、有二獅、各立於扶手旁、六階級各有獅立、每層二獅、左一右一、共十有二、他國從未製如是之寶座、所羅門王所用之飲器、悉以金製、利巴嫩林宮一切器皿皆精金、當所羅門時、人不以銀為貴、蓋王之舟偕戶蘭僕至他施、此他施舟、三年一次、載金、銀、象牙、猿猴、孔雀而歸、

彈琴作歌、為己製樂器、一如大衛、

所羅門子羅波安為猶大王、即位時、年四十有一歲、都耶路撒冷、即主於以色列諸支派中所選歸其名之邑、在位十七年、其母名拿瑪、亞捫女也、猶大人行惡於主前、所犯罪愆、干主震怒、較其先人更甚、

遣孩童出、多如羊群、其子女歡欣舞蹈、擊鼓鳴琴而歌、吹笙品簫而樂、

大衛與諸軍長、使亞薩、希幔、耶杜頓眾子孫、為樂官、鳴琴、鼓瑟、擊鈸而謳歌、供役事者、其數如左、

爾聞角、笛、琵琶、琴瑟、簫、笙、及諸他類樂器之音、即當俯伏崇拜尼布甲尼撒所立之金像、

今爾曹再聽角、笛、琵琶、琴瑟、簫、笙、及他類樂器之音、若俯伏崇拜我所作之像猶可、若不崇拜、即時投於炎烈之火窰中、視有何神、能救爾曹脫於我手、

羅波安王作銅干代之、付於守宮門之侍衛長守之、

此外有其奴婢七千三百三十七人、中有謳歌之男女二百、

俱為其父所轄、在主之殿、謳歌、擊鈸、鼓瑟、鳴琴、在天主殿供役事、循王所諭亞薩耶杜頓希幔之命、

王以檀木為主殿與王宮作欄、又為謳歌者作琴與瑟、在猶大地、從未見若是之檀木、
