I undertook great projects: I built houses for myself and planted vineyards.

So I started some large projects. I built houses for myself. I planted vineyards.

I made great works. I built houses and planted vineyards for myself.

I also tried to find meaning by building huge homes for myself and by planting beautiful vineyards.

I increased my achievements. I built houses and planted vineyards for myself.

I made my works great, I built myself houses, and planted myself vineyards.

I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards;

But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof[ was] an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.And[ it was] covered with cedar above upon the beams, that[ lay] on forty five pillars, fifteen[ in] a row.And[ there were] windows[ in] three rows, and light[ was] against light[ in] three ranks.And all the doors and posts[ were] square, with the windows: and light[ was] against light[ in] three ranks.And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof[ was] fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch[ was] before them: and the[ other] pillars and the thick beam[ were] before them.Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge,[ even] the porch of judgment: and[ it was] covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other.And his house where he dwelt[ had] another court within the porch,[ which] was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had taken[ to wife], like unto this porch.All these[ were of] costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and[ so] on the outside toward the great court.And the foundation[ was of] costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.And above[ were] costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and cedars.And the great court round about[ was] with three rows of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.

The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne[ was] round behind: and[ there were] stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays.And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top[ may reach] unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

[ There is] a league between me and thee,[ and] between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.

And over the vineyards[ was] Shimei the Ramathite: over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars[ was] Zabdi the Shiphmite:

My beloved[ is] unto me[ as] a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi.

Their inward thought[ is, that] their houses[ shall continue] for ever,[ and] their dwelling places to all generations; they call[ their] lands after their own names.

Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

Lest[ when] thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt[ therein];And[ when] thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,

Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish,[ whether] the tender grape appear,[ and] the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves.

And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because[ the places are] holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

Also he built towers in the desert, and digged many wells: for he had much cattle, both in the low country, and in the plains: husbandmen[ also], and vine dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he loved husbandry.

The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which[ is] in the king’s dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom’s place.

Solomon had a vineyard at Baalhamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand[ pieces] of silver.My vineyard, which[ is] mine,[ is] before me: thou, O Solomon,[ must have] a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.
