我姑以酒為懽、若無智然、而仍不敢失度、庶知人生在世、最樂者何事。

I tried cheering myself with wine, and embracing folly— my mind still guiding me with wisdom. I wanted to see what was good for people to do under the heavens during the few days of their lives.

I tried cheering myself up by drinking wine. I even tried living in a foolish way. But wisdom was still guiding my mind. I wanted to see what was good for people to do on earth during their short lives.

I searched with my heart how to cheer my body with wine— my heart still guiding me with wisdom— and how to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was good for the children of man to do under heaven during the few days of their life.

After much thought, I decided to cheer myself with wine. And while still seeking wisdom, I clutched at foolishness. In this way, I tried to experience the only happiness most people find during their brief life in this world.

I explored with my mind the pull of wine on my body— my mind still guiding me with wisdom— and how to grasp folly, until I could see what is good for people to do under heaven during the few days of their lives.

I explored with my mind how to refresh my body with wine while my mind was guiding me wisely; and how to seize foolishness, until I could see what good there is for the sons of mankind to do under heaven for the few years of their lives.

酒能使人傲慢，烈酒使人喧嚷，凡沉溺其中的，都无智慧。

我专心想要明白智慧，想要明白狂妄与愚昧，方知这也是捕风。

这些事都已听见了，结论就是：敬畏神，谨守他的诫命，这是人当尽的本分。

利慕伊勒啊，君王不宜，君王不宜喝酒，王子寻找烈酒也不相宜；恐怕喝了就忘记所颁的法令，颠倒所有困苦人的是非。

不要醉酒，酒能使人放荡；要被圣灵充满。

人一生虚度的日子，如影儿经过，谁知道什么才是对他有益呢？谁能告诉他身后在日光之下会发生什么事呢？

难道一个人有吃有喝，且在劳碌中享福，不是福气吗？我看这也是出于神的手。

我们经过的日子，都在你震怒之下，我们度尽的年岁，好像一声叹息。我们一生的年日是七十岁，若是强壮可到八十岁；但其中所矜夸的不过是劳苦愁烦，转眼即逝，我们便如飞而去。谁晓得你怒气的权势？谁因着敬畏你而晓得你的愤怒呢？求你指教我们怎样数算自己的日子，好叫我们得着智慧的心。

谁有祸患？谁有灾难？谁有纷争？谁有焦虑？谁无故受伤？谁的眼目红赤？就是那流连饮酒的人，常去寻找调和的酒。酒发红，在杯中闪烁时，你不可观看；虽下咽舒畅，终究它必咬你如蛇，刺你如毒蛇。

亚比该到拿八那里，看哪，他在家里摆设宴席，如同王的宴席。拿八心情舒畅，酩酊大醉。所以亚比该大小事都没有告诉他，直等到早晨天亮的时候。

壮士若死了能再活吗？我在一切服役的日子中等待，直到我退伍的时候来到。

你持守这个，那个也不要松手才好。敬畏神的人，这一切都能兼得。

雅各对法老说：“我在世寄居的年日是一百三十年，我一生的岁月又短又苦，比不上我祖先在世寄居的年日。”

我知道，人除了终身喜乐纳福，没有一件幸福的事。并且人人吃喝，在他的一切劳碌中享福，这也是神的赏赐。

我转念，一心要知道，要考察，要寻求智慧和万事的来由，要知道邪恶为愚昧，愚昧为狂妄。

“一个人不能服侍两个主；他不是恨这个爱那个，就是重这个轻那个。你们不能又服侍神，又服侍玛门。”

基督和彼列有什么相和？信主的和不信主的有什么相干？神的殿和偶像有什么相同？因为我们是永生神的殿，就如神曾说：“我要在他们中间居住来往；我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。”所以主说：“你们务要从他们中间出来，跟他们分别；不要沾不洁净的东西，我就收纳你们。
