A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God,

于是我称赞享乐，因为在日光之下，没有什么好过吃喝享乐——在日光之下，在神赐给人一生的日子里，在他的劳苦中，这些必伴随他。

对那些今世富有的人，你当吩咐他们不可高傲自大，也不可把盼望寄托在靠不住的财富上，而要寄托在神身上，神把万物丰丰富富地赐给我们享受。

我知道：人一生中没有什么比喜乐和行善更好的；并且，人人吃喝，在一切的劳苦中享受好处——这也是神的恩赐。

看哪，我所见为善为美的，就是人在神所赐给他一生可数的日子里吃喝，享受他在日光之下劳苦所得的一切好处，因为这是他的份。而且，对每个蒙神赐予财富资产的人，神也使他能享用，并领受他的份，在自己的劳苦中欢喜——这就是神的恩赐。

去吧！欢欢喜喜地吃你的饭，心中快乐地喝你的酒；因为神已经悦纳你所做的。要让你的衣服时时洁白，也不要让你的头上缺少膏油。在你一生所有虚空的日子，就是神赐给你日光之下虚空的日子，你当与你所爱的妻一同享受人生。要知道，在日光之下的劳碌中，这就是你一生劳苦所得的份。

我在以弗所与野兽搏斗，如果按人的意思来说，对我有什么好处呢？如果死人不会复活，就“让我们吃吃喝喝吧，因为明天我们就要死了。”

然后，我要对我的灵魂说：灵魂哪，你拥有了很多好东西，足以享用多年，你就休息、吃喝、庆祝吧。’“可是神对他说：‘你这愚妄的人哪！今夜，他们就要召回你的灵魂了。那么，你所预备的要归谁呢？’

其实神并不是没有为自己留下证据，因为他常行美善：从天上赐给你们雨水和丰收的季节，使你们食物充足，满心喜乐。”

人蒙神赐予财富、资产和荣耀，以致他心中所渴望的一无所缺；但神使他不能享用，反而是外人享用。这是虚空，也是极重的祸患！

青年人哪，你当在年少时欢喜；在青春的日子里，使你的心快乐！你当照着你心所愿、眼所见的去行；但你要知道，神必为这一切事审判你。因此你当从心中除掉烦恼，从肉体中除去疾苦；要知道，无论年少或青壮都转眼成空。

你们如果不听从，如果不放在心上，不把荣耀归于我的名，我就使诅咒临到你们，我要诅咒你们应得的祝福。事实上，我已经诅咒了，因为你们不把诫命放在心上。”
