All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless.

As long as they live, their work is nothing but pain and sorrow. Even at night their minds can’t rest. That doesn’t have any meaning either.

For all his days are full of sorrow, and his work is a vexation. Even in the night his heart does not rest. This also is vanity.

Their days of labor are filled with pain and grief; even at night their minds cannot rest. It is all meaningless.

“人为妇人所生，日子短少，多有患难。

王回到宫里，终夜禁食，不让人带乐器到他面前，他也失眠了。

我在患难之日寻求主，在夜间不住地举手祷告，我的心不肯受安慰。我想念神，就烦躁不安；我沉思默想，心灵发昏。（细拉）你使我不能闭眼；我心烦乱，甚至不能说话。

雅各对法老说：“我在世寄居的年日是一百三十年，我一生的岁月又短又苦，比不上我祖先在世寄居的年日。”

我因呻吟而困乏；我每夜流泪，使床铺漂起，把褥子湿透。我的眼睛因忧愁而昏花，因敌人的缘故，我的眼目模糊不清。

劳碌的人不拘吃多吃少，睡得香甜；富人的丰足却不容他睡觉。

因为多有智慧，就多有愁烦；增加知识，就增加忧伤。
