All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless.

As long as they live, their work is nothing but pain and sorrow. Even at night their minds can’t rest. That doesn’t have any meaning either.

For all his days are full of sorrow, and his work is a vexation. Even in the night his heart does not rest. This also is vanity.

Their days of labor are filled with pain and grief; even at night their minds cannot rest. It is all meaningless.

“人为妇人所生，日子短少，多有患难；

人生在世必遇患难，如同火星飞腾。

若说：我的床必安慰我，我的榻必解释我的苦情，你就用梦惊骇我，用异象恐吓我，

你们清晨早起，夜晚安歇，吃劳碌得来的饭，本是枉然；惟有耶和华所亲爱的，必叫他安然睡觉。

黑夜白日，你的手在我身上沉重；我的精力耗尽，如同夏天的干旱。细拉

王回宫，终夜禁食，无人拿乐器到他面前，并且睡不着觉。

坚固门徒的心，劝他们恒守所信的道；又说：“我们进入神的国，必须经历许多艰难。”

求你照着你使我们受苦的日子，和我们遭难的年岁，叫我们喜乐。

那夜王睡不着觉，就吩咐人取历史来，念给他听。

我们因你的怒气而消灭，因你的忿怒而惊惶。你将我们的罪孽摆在你面前，将我们的隐恶摆在你面光之中。我们经过的日子都在你震怒之下；我们度尽的年岁好像一声叹息。我们一生的年日是七十岁，若是强壮可到八十岁；但其中所矜夸的不过是劳苦愁烦，转眼成空，我们便如飞而去。

我在患难之日寻求主；我在夜间不住地举手祷告；我的心不肯受安慰。我想念神，就烦燥不安；我沉吟悲伤，心便发昏。细拉你叫我不能闭眼；我烦乱不安，甚至不能说话。

雅各对法老说：“我寄居在世的年日是一百三十岁，我平生的年日又少又苦，不及我列祖在世寄居的年日。”

我因唉哼而困乏；我每夜流泪，把床榻漂起，把褥子湿透。我因忧愁眼睛干瘪，又因我一切的敌人眼睛昏花。

劳碌的人不拘吃多吃少，睡得香甜；富足人的丰满却不容他睡觉。

因为多有智慧，就多有愁烦；加增知识的，就加增忧伤。
