知智愈乎愚、光愈乎暗。

我雖見智慧勝於愚昧、如光明勝於幽暗、

I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness.

I saw that wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness.

Then I saw that there is more gain in wisdom than in folly, as there is more gain in light than in darkness.

I thought,“ Wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness.

And I realized that there is an advantage to wisdom over folly, like the advantage of light over darkness.

Then I saw that wisdom surpasses foolishness as light surpasses darkness.

Then I saw that wisdom excels folly As light excels darkness.

And I realized that there is an advantage to wisdom over folly, like the advantage of light over darkness.

Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.

I realized that wisdom is preferable to folly, just as light is preferable to darkness:

Wisdom is as good as an inheritance; yea, more excellent is it for them that see the sun.For wisdom is a defence, even as money is a defence; but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom preserveth the life of him that hath it.

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is the darkness!

For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light

The lamp of thy body is thine eye: when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when it is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.Look therefore whether the light that is in thee be not darkness.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path.

Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

Then shall ye return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.For, behold, the day cometh, it burneth as a furnace; and all the proud, and all that work wickedness, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith Jehovah of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings; and ye shall go forth, and gambol as calves of the stall.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! Yea, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.

Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroyeth much good.

The opening of thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple.

Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun.

Get wisdom, get understanding; Forget not, neither decline from the words of my mouth;Forsake her not, and she will preserve thee; Love her, and she will keep thee.Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; Yea, with all thy getting get understanding.

Wisdom is a strength to the wise man more than ten rulers that are in a city.

But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day.The way of the wicked is as darkness: They know not at what they stumble.
