When I considered all that I had accomplished and what I had labored to achieve, I found everything to be futile and a pursuit of the wind. There was nothing to be gained under the sun.

但当我回顾我手所做的一切事，以及我劳苦所做的工，看哪，全是虚空，全是捕风！在日光之下毫无益处。

但當我回顧我手所做的一切事，以及我勞苦所做的工，看哪，全是虛空，全是捕風！在日光之下毫無益處。

我觀我手所作諸工、及勞力之操作、乃知悉屬虛空、莫非捕風、於日下無所裨益、○

由後而觀、覺勞而得者、莫非捕風捉影、於事無益、

厥後我觀我手所經營一切、及我所勞碌而得者、乃知皆屬於虛、皆如捕風、在日下毫無所益、○

Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.

But then I looked over everything my hands had done. I saw what I had worked so hard to get. And nothing had any meaning. It was like chasing the wind. Nothing was gained on this earth.

Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended in doing it, and behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was nothing to be gained under the sun.

But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all so meaningless— like chasing the wind. There was nothing really worthwhile anywhere.

When I considered all that I had accomplished and what I had labored to achieve, I found everything to be futile and a pursuit of the wind. There was nothing to be gained under the sun.

So I considered all my activities which my hands had done and the labor which I had exerted, and behold, all was futility and striving after wind, and there was no benefit under the sun.

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had done And on the labor in which I had toiled; And indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind. There was no profit under the sun.

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do; and, behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was no profit under the sun.

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all[ was] vanity and vexation of spirit, and[ there was] no profit under the sun.

Yet when I reflected on everything I had accomplished and on all the effort that I had expended to accomplish it, I concluded:“ All these achievements and possessions are ultimately profitless– like chasing the wind! There is nothing gained from them on earth.”

Then I looked at all the works that my hands had worked, and at the labor that I had labored to do; and behold, all was vanity and a chasing after wind, and there was no profit under the sun.

I have seen all the things that are done under the sun and have found everything to be futile, a pursuit of the wind.

What does a man gain for all his efforts that he labors at under the sun?

For everything that belongs to the world— the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s lifestyle— is not from the Father, but is from the world.And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.

But godliness with contentment is a great gain.

God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. Evening came and then morning: the sixth day.

Is it not from the Lord of Hosts that the peoples labor only to fuel the fire and countries exhaust themselves for nothing?

Therefore, I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me. For everything is futile and a pursuit of the wind.I hated all my work that I labored at under the sun because I must leave it to the man who comes after me.And who knows whether he will be a wise man or a fool? Yet he will take over all my work that I labored at skillfully under the sun. This too is futile.So I began to give myself over to despair concerning all my work that I had labored at under the sun.When there is a man whose work was done with wisdom, knowledge, and skill, and he must give his portion to a man who has not worked for it, this too is futile and a great wrong.For what does a man get with all his work and all his efforts that he labors at under the sun?For all his days are filled with grief, and his occupation is sorrowful; even at night, his mind does not rest. This too is futile.

Moses inspected all the work they had accomplished. They had done just as the Lord commanded. Then Moses blessed them.
