and they are afraid of heights and the dangers in the street; the almond blossoms grow white, and the grasshopper drags itself along, and the caper berry shrivels up– because man goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about in the streets–

人怕高处，路上有惊慌，杏树开花，蚱蜢成为重担，人所愿的也都废掉；因为人归他永远的家，吊丧的在街上往来。

甚至人害怕高处，害怕道路上的危险；杏树开花，蚱蜢蹒跚，人的性欲衰退；因为人归向自己永远的家，哀哭的人在街道上绕行。

人都怕爬高，怕路上有驚慌；杏兒他拒絕；跨鳳是重擔；壯陽藥也無效；因為人快要到他永遠的家去，職業號咷者都在街上四圍等着；

甚至人害怕高處，害怕道路上的危險；杏樹開花，蚱蜢蹣跚，人的性慾衰退；因為人歸向自己永遠的家，哀哭的人在街道上繞行。

登高則恐懼、行路則悚惶、杏樹放葩、蝗蟲體重、酸豆失其補力、人歸永居之所、弔者往來於衢、

不敢登高、行於途中亦多畏葸、以杏核為可厭、以蟿蟲為重物、生平嗜好、百無一存、人歸窀穸、哀者行於衢。

畏登高處、行於途亦多驚懼、以杏核為可厭、以蝗蟲為重物、口腹之欲悉廢、將歸永居之所、不久哀者隨行於衢、

when people are afraid of heights and of dangers in the streets; when the almond tree blossoms and the grasshopper drags itself along and desire no longer is stirred. Then people go to their eternal home and mourners go about the streets.

Remember your Creator before you become afraid of places that are too high. You will also be terrified because of danger in the streets. Remember your Creator before the almond trees have buds on them. That’s when grasshoppers will drag themselves along. Old people will lose their desire. That’s when people will go to their dark homes in the grave. And those who mourn for the dead will walk around in the streets.

they are afraid also of what is high, and terrors are in the way; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along, and desire fails, because man is going to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets—

Remember him before you become fearful of falling and worry about danger in the streets; before your hair turns white like an almond tree in bloom, and you drag along without energy like a dying grasshopper, and the caperberry no longer inspires sexual desire. Remember him before you near the grave, your everlasting home, when the mourners will weep at your funeral.

Also, they are afraid of heights and dangers on the road; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper loses its spring, and the caper berry has no effect; for the mere mortal is headed to his eternal home, and mourners will walk around in the street;

Furthermore, people are afraid of a high place and of terrors on the road; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along, and the caper berry is ineffective. For man goes to his eternal home while the mourners move around in the street.

Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms, The grasshopper is a burden, And desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets.

yea, they shall be afraid of that which is high, and terrors shall be in the way; and the almond- tree shall blossom, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail; because man goeth to his everlasting home, and the mourners go about the streets:

Also[ when] they shall be afraid of[ that which is] high, and fears[ shall be] in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

yes, they shall be afraid of heights, and terrors will be on the way; and the almond tree shall blossom, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail; because man goes to his everlasting home, and the mourners go about the streets:

If I hope for the grave to be my home, if I spread out my bed in darkness,

I know that you are bringing me to death, to the meeting place for all the living.

The LORD who rules over all told me to say to this people,“ Take note of what I say. Call for the women who mourn for the dead! Summon those who are the most skilled at it!”I said,“ Indeed, let them come quickly and sing a song of mourning for us. Let them wail loudly until tears stream from our own eyes and our eyelids overflow with water.For the sound of wailing is soon to be heard in Zion. They will wail,‘ We are utterly ruined! We are completely disgraced! For our houses have been torn down and we must leave our land.’”I said,“ So now, you wailing women, hear what the LORD says. Open your ears to the words from his mouth. Teach your daughters this mournful song, and each of you teach your neighbor this lament.

Gray hair is like a crown of glory; it is attained in the path of righteousness.

The gray-haired and the aged are on our side, men far older than your father.

They took forty days, for that is the full time needed for embalming. The Egyptians mourned for him seventy days.When the days of mourning had passed, Joseph said to Pharaoh’s royal court,“ If I have found favor in your sight, please say to Pharaoh,‘ My father made me swear an oath. He said,“ I am about to die. Bury me in my tomb that I dug for myself there in the land of Canaan.” Now let me go and bury my father; then I will return.’”So Pharaoh said,“ Go and bury your father, just as he made you swear to do.”So Joseph went up to bury his father; all Pharaoh’s officials went with him– the senior courtiers of his household, all the senior officials of the land of Egypt,all Joseph’s household, his brothers, and his father’s household. But they left their little children and their flocks and herds in the land of Goshen.Chariots and horsemen also went up with him, so it was a very large entourage.When they came to the threshing floor of Atad on the other side of the Jordan, they mourned there with very great and bitter sorrow. There Joseph observed a seven day period of mourning for his father.

Whatever you find to do with your hands, do it with all your might, because there is neither work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the grave, the place where you will eventually go.

Later the LORD asked me,“ What do you see, Jeremiah?” I answered,“ I see a branch of an almond tree.”

Surely one sees that even wise people die; fools and spiritually insensitive people all pass away and leave their wealth to others.Their grave becomes their permanent residence, their eternal dwelling place. They name their lands after themselves,but, despite their wealth, people do not last, they are like animals that perish.This is the destiny of fools, and of those who approve of their philosophy.( Selah)They will travel to Sheol like sheep, with death as their shepherd. The godly will rule over them when the day of vindication dawns; Sheol will consume their bodies and they will no longer live in impressive houses.

If you take this one from me too and an accident happens to him, then you will bring down my gray hair in tragedy to the grave.’

You must stand up in the presence of the aged, honor the presence of an elder, and fear your God. I am the LORD.

Even when I am old and gray, O God, do not abandon me, until I tell the next generation about your strength, and those coming after me about your power.

Even when you are old, I will take care of you, even when you have gray hair, I will carry you. I made you and I will support you; I will carry you and rescue you.

They came to the house of the synagogue ruler where he saw noisy confusion and people weeping and wailing loudly.When he entered he said to them,“ Why are you distressed and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep.”

And just as people are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment,

But Jacob replied,“ My son will not go down there with you, for his brother is dead and he alone is left. If an accident happens to him on the journey you have to make, then you will bring down my gray hair in sorrow to the grave.”

The glory of young men is their strength, and the splendor of old men is gray hair.

When he sees the boy is not with us, he will die, and your servants will bring down the gray hair of your servant our father in sorrow to the grave.
