they are afraid also of what is high, and terrors are in the way; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along, and desire fails, because man is going to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets—

甚至人害怕高处，害怕道路上的危险；杏树开花，蚱蜢蹒跚，人的性欲衰退；因为人归向自己永远的家，哀哭的人在街道上绕行。

人都怕爬高，怕路上有驚慌；杏兒他拒絕；跨鳳是重擔；壯陽藥也無效；因為人快要到他永遠的家去，職業號咷者都在街上四圍等着；

甚至人害怕高處，害怕道路上的危險；杏樹開花，蚱蜢蹣跚，人的性慾衰退；因為人歸向自己永遠的家，哀哭的人在街道上繞行。

登高則恐懼、行路則悚惶、杏樹放葩、蝗蟲體重、酸豆失其補力、人歸永居之所、弔者往來於衢、

不敢登高、行於途中亦多畏葸、以杏核為可厭、以蟿蟲為重物、生平嗜好、百無一存、人歸窀穸、哀者行於衢。

畏登高處、行於途亦多驚懼、以杏核為可厭、以蝗蟲為重物、口腹之欲悉廢、將歸永居之所、不久哀者隨行於衢、

when people are afraid of heights and of dangers in the streets; when the almond tree blossoms and the grasshopper drags itself along and desire no longer is stirred. Then people go to their eternal home and mourners go about the streets.

Remember your Creator before you become afraid of places that are too high. You will also be terrified because of danger in the streets. Remember your Creator before the almond trees have buds on them. That’s when grasshoppers will drag themselves along. Old people will lose their desire. That’s when people will go to their dark homes in the grave. And those who mourn for the dead will walk around in the streets.

Remember him before you become fearful of falling and worry about danger in the streets; before your hair turns white like an almond tree in bloom, and you drag along without energy like a dying grasshopper, and the caperberry no longer inspires sexual desire. Remember him before you near the grave, your everlasting home, when the mourners will weep at your funeral.

Also, they are afraid of heights and dangers on the road; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper loses its spring, and the caper berry has no effect; for the mere mortal is headed to his eternal home, and mourners will walk around in the street;

Furthermore, people are afraid of a high place and of terrors on the road; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along, and the caper berry is ineffective. For man goes to his eternal home while the mourners move around in the street.

Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms, The grasshopper is a burden, And desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets.

yea, they shall be afraid of that which is high, and terrors shall be in the way; and the almond- tree shall blossom, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail; because man goeth to his everlasting home, and the mourners go about the streets:

Also[ when] they shall be afraid of[ that which is] high, and fears[ shall be] in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

and they are afraid of heights and the dangers in the street; the almond blossoms grow white, and the grasshopper drags itself along, and the caper berry shrivels up– because man goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about in the streets–

yes, they shall be afraid of heights, and terrors will be on the way; and the almond tree shall blossom, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail; because man goes to his everlasting home, and the mourners go about the streets:

If I hope for Sheol as my house, if I make my bed in darkness,

For I know that you will bring me to death and to the house appointed for all living.

Thus says the Lord of hosts:“ Consider, and call for the mourning women to come; send for the skillful women to come;let them make haste and raise a wailing over us, that our eyes may run down with tears and our eyelids flow with water.For a sound of wailing is heard from Zion:‘ How we are ruined! We are utterly shamed, because we have left the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.’”Hear, O women, the word of the Lord, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; teach to your daughters a lament, and each to her neighbor a dirge.

Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.

Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us, older than your father.

Forty days were required for it, for that is how many are required for embalming. And the Egyptians wept for him seventy days.And when the days of weeping for him were past, Joseph spoke to the household of Pharaoh, saying,“ If now I have found favor in your eyes, please speak in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,‘ My father made me swear, saying,“ I am about to die: in my tomb that I hewed out for myself in the land of Canaan, there shall you bury me.” Now therefore, let me please go up and bury my father. Then I will return.’”And Pharaoh answered,“ Go up, and bury your father, as he made you swear.”So Joseph went up to bury his father. With him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his household, and all the elders of the land of Egypt,as well as all the household of Joseph, his brothers, and his father’s household. Only their children, their flocks, and their herds were left in the land of Goshen.And there went up with him both chariots and horsemen. It was a very great company.When they came to the threshing floor of Atad, which is beyond the Jordan, they lamented there with a very great and grievous lamentation, and he made a mourning for his father seven days.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,“ Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said,“ I see an almond branch.”

For he sees that even the wise die; the fool and the stupid alike must perish and leave their wealth to others.Their graves are their homes forever, their dwelling places to all generations, though they called lands by their own names.Man in his pomp will not remain; he is like the beasts that perish.This is the path of those who have foolish confidence; yet after them people approve of their boasts. SelahLike sheep they are appointed for Sheol; death shall be their shepherd, and the upright shall rule over them in the morning. Their form shall be consumed in Sheol, with no place to dwell.

If you take this one also from me, and harm happens to him, you will bring down my gray hairs in evil to Sheol.’

“ You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.

So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.

even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.

They came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and Jesus saw a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly.And when he had entered, he said to them,“ Why are you making a commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but sleeping.”

And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,

But he said,“ My son shall not go down with you, for his brother is dead, and he is the only one left. If harm should happen to him on the journey that you are to make, you would bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.”

The glory of young men is their strength, but the splendor of old men is their gray hair.

as soon as he sees that the boy is not with us, he will die, and your servants will bring down the gray hairs of your servant our father with sorrow to Sheol.
