You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

You young people, be happy while you are still young. Let your heart be joyful while you are still strong. Do what your heart tells you to do. Go after what your eyes look at. But I want you to know that God will judge you for everything you do.

Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do.

I said to myself,“ God will judge the righteous and the wicked, since there is a time for every activity and every work.”

For God will bring every act to judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil.

It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is still young.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For everything in the world— the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s possessions— is not from the Father, but is from the world.

the sons of God saw that the daughters of mankind were beautiful, and they took any they chose as wives for themselves.

So remember your Creator in the days of your youth: Before the days of adversity come, and the years approach when you will say,“ I have no delight in them”;

And just as it is appointed for people to die once— and after this, judgment—

If my step has turned from the way, my heart has followed my eyes, or impurity has stained my hands,

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

“ But the person who acts defiantly, whether native or resident alien, blasphemes the LORD. That person is to be cut off from his people.

But you, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or you, why do you despise your brother or sister? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

All that my eyes desired, I did not deny them. I did not refuse myself any pleasure, for I took pleasure in all my struggles. This was my reward for all my struggles.

Because of your hardened and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.He will repay each one according to his works:eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality;but wrath and anger to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth while obeying unrighteousness.There will be affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek;but glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does what is good, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.For there is no favoritism with God.

One evening David got up from his bed and strolled around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing— a very beautiful woman.So David sent someone to inquire about her, and he said,“ Isn’t this Bathsheba, daughter of Eliam and wife of Uriah the Hethite?”David sent messengers to get her, and when she came to him, he slept with her. Now she had just been purifying herself from her uncleanness. Afterward, she returned home.

On high, he summons heaven and earth in order to judge his people:“ Gather my faithful ones to me, those who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”The heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God is the Judge. Selah

The woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom. So she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own plans.

By the same word, the present heavens and earth are stored up for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

The angel of the LORD asked him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? Look, I came out to oppose you, because I consider what you are doing to be evil.

“ As for the word you spoke to us in the name of the LORD, we are not going to listen to you!Instead, we will do everything we promised: we will burn incense to the queen of heaven and offer drink offerings to her just as we, our ancestors, our kings, and our officials did in Judah’s cities and in Jerusalem’s streets. Then we had enough food, we were well off, and we saw no disaster,

Now as he spoke about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix became afraid and replied,“ Leave for now, but when I have an opportunity I’ll call for you.”

When someone hears the words of this oath, he may consider himself exempt, thinking,‘ I will have peace even though I follow my own stubborn heart.’ This will lead to the destruction of the well-watered land as well as the dry land.

But when I leave you, the Spirit of the LORD may carry you off to some place I don’t know. Then when I go report to Ahab and he doesn’t find you, he will kill me. But I, your servant, have feared the LORD from my youth.

So he went to the king, and the king asked him,“ Micaiah, should we go to Ramoth-gilead for war, or should we refrain?” Micaiah told him,“ March up and succeed. The LORD will hand it over to the king.”

The younger of them said to his father,‘ Father, give me the share of the estate I have coming to me.’ So he distributed the assets to them.Not many days later, the younger son gathered together all he had and traveled to a distant country, where he squandered his estate in foolish living.

I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.Then the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them; each one was judged according to their works.Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

They keep on saying to those who despise me,‘ The LORD has spoken: You will have peace.’ They have said to everyone who follows the stubbornness of his heart,‘ No harm will come to you.’”

These will serve as tassels for you to look at, so that you may remember all the LORD’s commands and obey them and not prostitute yourselves by following your own heart and your own eyes.

in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient.We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.

Yet they didn’t listen or pay attention but followed their own advice and their own stubborn, evil heart. They went backward and not forward.

At noon Elijah mocked them. He said,“ Shout loudly, for he’s a god! Maybe he’s thinking it over; maybe he has wandered away; or maybe he’s on the road. Perhaps he’s sleeping and will wake up!”

In past generations he allowed all the nations to go their own way,

“ Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent,because he has set a day when he is going to judge the world in righteousness by the man he has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.They are surprised that you don’t join them in the same flood of wild living— and they slander you.

So don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.

When I saw among the spoils a beautiful cloak from Babylon, five pounds of silver, and a bar of gold weighing a pound and a quarter, I coveted them and took them. You can see for yourself. They are concealed in the ground inside my tent, with the silver under the cloak.”
