Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.

In the morning plant your seeds. In the evening keep your hands busy. You don’t know what will succeed. It may be one or the other. Or both might do equally well.

你们撒的种多，收割的却少；你们吃，却吃不饱；你们喝，却喝不足；你们穿衣服，却穿不暖；得工钱的，却把工钱放在破袋里。”万军之耶和华这样说：“你们要反省自己的行为。你们要上山取木材，建造殿宇；我必因此喜悦，并且得荣耀。”耶和华说：“你们期望丰收，反倒歉收；你们收到家里的，我就吹去。”为什么呢？万军之耶和华说：“因为我的殿宇荒废，你们各人却为自己的房屋奔驰。所以，因你们的缘故，天就不降甘露，地也不出土产。我叫干旱临到大地、群山、五谷、新酒、新油、地上的出产、人畜和人手劳碌得来的一切。”

你们要为自己撒种公义，就能收割慈爱的果子，你们要翻松荒地。现在是寻求耶和华的时候，直等到他来，降下公义的雨在你们身上。

还有，少种的少收，多种的多收。

但现在我待这些余剩的子民必不像从前的日子那样（这是万军之耶和华的宣告）。因为五谷必生长繁茂，葡萄树必结果子，地土必出土产，天也必降下甘露，我要使这些余剩的子民承受这一切。

收割的人得到工资，也积储五谷直到永生，使撒种的和收割的一同快乐。‘这人撒种，那人收割’，这话是真的。我派你们去收割你们所没有劳苦的；别人劳苦，你们却享受他们劳苦的成果。”

耶和华说：‘我用旱风、霉烂和冰雹击打你们，和你们手里的一切工作，你们还是不归向我。你们要反省，从今日起回想过往，就是自九月二十四日起，从耶和华殿的奠基日开始，你们要反省：仓里还有种子吗？葡萄树、无花果树、石榴树和橄榄树，岂是还没有结果子吗？从今日起，我必赐福。’”

亚波罗算什么？保罗算什么？我们不过是神的仆人，你们藉着我们信了主；按着主所赐给各人的，我栽种了，亚波罗浇灌了，唯有神使它生长。所以，栽种的算不得什么，浇灌的也算不得什么，只在乎那使它生长的神。

凡是你手可作的，都当尽力去作；因为在你所要去的阴间里，既没有工作，又没有筹谋；没有知识，也没有智慧。

耶稣说：“神的国好像人在地里撒种，他夜里睡觉，白天起来，种子发芽生长，自己也不知道怎么会这样的。地生五谷是自然的，先长苗，后吐穗，最后穗上结满了子粒。庄稼熟了，就派人用镰刀割下，因为收成的时候到了。”

务要传道；无论时机是否适合，都要常作准备；要以多方的忍耐和教训责备人、警戒人、劝勉人。

但其中有些塞浦路斯人和古利奈人，来到安提阿，也对希腊人传讲主耶稣。主的手与他们同在，信而归主的人就多起来。

我留心这一切事，并加以阐明：就是义人、智慧人和他们所作的，都在神手里。临到他们的一切，无论是爱是恨，人都不领悟。
