所以，當從心中除掉愁煩，從肉體除去痛苦；因為年少和年輕之時，全是虛空。

所以，你当从心中除掉愁烦，从肉体克去邪恶；因为一生的开端和幼年之时，都是虚空的。

你要從心中除掉苦悶；從肉體上除去艱苦的事；因為年幼和青春都是虛空。

因此你當從心中除掉煩惱，從肉體中除去疾苦；要知道，無論年少或青壯都轉眼成空。

故當心屏憂愁、身去邪惡、因稚齒與英年、悉屬虛空、

故必去欲絕邪、蓋幼稚之時、亦屬於虛。

故當心除憂忿、身離惡事、惡事或作有損之事因幼年速逝如晨、皆屬於虛、因幼年速逝如晨皆屬於虛或作因幼年髮黑之時皆屬於虛

So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body, for youth and vigor are meaningless.

So drive worry out of your heart. Get rid of all your troubles. Being young and strong doesn’t have any meaning.

Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.

So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.

Remove sorrow from your heart, and put away pain from your flesh, because youth and the prime of life are fleeting.

So remove sorrow from your heart and keep pain away from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.

Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity.

Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.

Remove sorrow from your heart, and put away pain from your flesh, because youth and the prime of life are fleeting.

Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth[ are] vanity.

Banish emotional stress from your mind. and put away pain from your body; for youth and the prime of life are fleeting.

所以，親愛的，既然我們有這樣的應許，就當潔淨自己，除去身體和靈魂一切的污穢，藉着敬畏神，得以成聖。

我見日光之下所發生的一切事，看哪，全是虛空，全是捕風。

你要逃避年輕人的私慾，同那以純潔的心求告主的人追求公義、信實、仁愛、和平。

傳道者說：虛空的虛空，虛空的虛空，全是虛空。

我們因你的怒氣而消滅，因你的憤怒而驚惶。你將我們的罪孽擺在你面前，將我們的隱惡擺在你面光之中。我們經過的日子，都在你震怒之下，我們度盡的年歲，好像一聲嘆息。我們一生的年日是七十歲，若是強壯可到八十歲；但其中所矜誇的不過是勞苦愁煩，轉眼即逝，我們便如飛而去。誰曉得你怒氣的權勢？誰因着敬畏你而曉得你的憤怒呢？

求你不要記得我幼年的罪愆和我的過犯；耶和華啊，求你因你的良善，按你的慈愛記念我。

既然這一切都要如此消失，你們處世為人必須聖潔敬虔，等候並催促神的日子來到。因為在那日，天要被火燒而消滅，天體都要被烈火熔化。但照他的應許，我們等候新天新地，其中有正義常住。所以，親愛的，既然你們等候這些事，就要竭力使自己沒有玷污，無可指責，在主前和睦；

愚昧迷住孩童的心，用管教的杖可以遠遠趕除。

你趁着年輕、衰老的日子尚未來到，就是你所說，我毫無喜悅的那些歲月來臨之前，當記念造你的主。

你寫下苦楚對付我，又使我擔當幼年的罪孽。

看哪，你使我的年日窄如手掌，我一生的年數，在你面前如同無有；各人最穩妥的時候，真是全然虛幻。（細拉）

他的骨頭雖然滿有年輕的活力，卻要和他一同躺臥在塵土之中。
