The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

The hearts of wise people lead them on the right path. But the hearts of foolish people take them down the wrong path.

A wise man’s heart inclines him to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left.

A wise person chooses the right road; a fool takes the wrong one.

A wise person’s heart goes to the right, but a fool’s heart to the left.

A wise person’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish person’s heart directs him toward the left.

A wise man’s heart is at his right hand, But a fool’s heart at his left.

And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my grain and my goods.And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry.But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be?

Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom, Seeing he hath no understanding?

For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doth not first sit down and count the cost, whether he have wherewith to complete it?Lest haply, when he hath laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all that behold begin to mock him,saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.Or what king, as he goeth to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and asketh conditions of peace.

The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way; But the folly of fools is deceit.

If the iron be blunt, and one do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, whither thou goest.
