Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owners except to feast their eyes on them? (niv)

To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. (niv)

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. (niv)

We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. (niv)

Whatever exists is far off and most profound— who can discover it?So I turned my mind to understand, to investigate and to search out wisdom and the scheme of things and to understand the stupidity of wickedness and the madness of folly.I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains.
