For who knows what is good for a person during his lifetime, during the few years of his futile life? He will spend them like a shadow. For who can tell a person what will happen after him under the sun?

Your faithfulness continues throughout generations; You established the earth, and it stands.They stand this day by Your ordinances, For all things are Your servants.

These are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites according to their families.It was the same Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said,“ Bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their multitudes.”They were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt about bringing out the sons of Israel from Egypt; it was the same Moses and Aaron.

The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah and Iscah.Sarai was unable to conceive; she did not have a child.Now Terah took his son Abram, and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and his daughter in law Sarai, his son Abram’s wife, and they departed together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan; and they went as far as Haran and settled there.The days of Terah were 205 years; and Terah died in Haran.

These were the sons of Esau’s wife Basemath.And these were the sons of Esau’s wife Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah, the granddaughter of Zibeon: she bore to Esau Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.These are the chiefs of the sons of Esau. The sons of Eliphaz, the firstborn of Esau, are chief Teman, chief Omar, chief Zepho, chief Kenaz,chief Korah, chief Gatam, and chief Amalek.
