No one remembers the former generations, and even those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow them.

No one remembers the people of long ago. Even those who haven’t been born yet won’t be remembered by those who will be born after them.

There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of later things yet to be among those who come after.

We don’t remember what happened in the past, and in future generations, no one will remember what we are doing now.

看哪！先前所預言的事已經應驗了，現在我要宣告新的事，在它們還沒有發生之前，我就要告知你們。」

仇敵被滅盡，敵國成為永久的廢墟；你把他們的城市拔出，連他們的名號也消亡了。

讓它們拿出證據來，告訴我們將要發生的事吧！至於先前的事，告訴我們究竟是什麼，好讓我們用心思索得以明白事情的結局；或者直接告知我們即將來臨的事，告訴我們後來的事，好讓我們知道你們是神！你們或好或歹做一些事，讓我們一同驚奇觀看吧！看哪，你們連無有都算不上，你們的作為連虛無也夠不上；那選擇你們的是可憎惡的！我從北方興起一人；他從日出之地而來，他必呼求我的名。他必把掌權者像泥土一樣踐踏，如同陶匠踹踏陶泥。誰從起初宣告這事，好讓我們知道？誰預先告知這事，好讓我們說「他所說的沒錯」？誰也沒有宣告，誰也沒有告知，誰也沒有聽見你們的言語！
