爾往集以色列長老、而告之曰、耶和華爾祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、顯見於我、曰、我臨涖爾、鑒爾於埃及所遇者、

惡人之家、義者度之、知其必覆而亡、

迨耶和華導爾入迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之境、即其誓於爾祖、賜爾流乳與蜜之地、當於是月守此禮、

爾不以金購之菖蒲奉我、不以犧牲之脂膏供我、乃以爾諸罪累我、以爾諸愆煩我、惟我為己之故、塗抹爾愆、不念爾罪、

昔我於亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、顯見為全能之上帝、惟未嘗以我耶和華名示之、我與之約、錫以所旅之迦南地、今埃及人使以色列族服役、我聞其呻吟、追念吾約、當告以色列人曰、我乃耶和華、將脫爾於埃及人所加之重負、罷爾苦役、以奮臂巨災贖爾、我將以爾為民、吾為爾之上帝、使知我乃爾上帝耶和華、脫爾於埃及人所加之重負者、昔我誓賜亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之地、必導爾入之、予爾為業、我乃耶和華也、

勿效厥祖、斯代頑梗悖逆、其心不正、其神不堅於上帝兮、

又曰、我乃爾祖父之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、摩西蒙面、不敢視上帝、

求憶爾僕亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列、昔爾指己而誓、必昌厥後、如天星之多、錫以所言之地、俾其永居、

求我主勿以庸人拿八為意、其人與名相符、其名拿八、其人愚妄也、我主所遣之少者、婢不及見、

為爾名故、勿厭我、勿辱爾尊榮之位、記憶與我所立之約、勿廢之、

乃返耶和華所、曰、噫、斯民干重罪、以金造神像、今爾若宥其罪、不然、則塗我名於爾册、

有何神若爾乎、赦免愆尤、宥遺民之罪戾、蓄怒不永、仁慈是悅、彼必復矜恤我、踐我愆尤於足下、投其諸罪於深海、

耶和華曰、是日是時、人必求以色列之愆尤、而無有焉、求猶大之罪戾、而不見焉、蓋我必赦宥我所存之遺民也、○
