其民昌熾、身軀雄偉、為亞衲族人、爾所識者、爾亦嘗聞人云、孰能敵亞衲族人乎、

那民是亚衲族的人，又大又高，是你所知道的；也曾听见有人指着他们说：‘谁能在亚衲族人面前站立得住呢？’

The people are strong and tall— Anakites! You know about them and have heard it said:“ Who can stand up against the Anakites?”

The people who live there are Anakites. They are strong and tall. You know all about them. You have heard people say,“ Who can stand up against the Anakites?”

上迦南之南地、至希伯崙、在彼有亞衲族人、亞希幔、示篩、撻買、建希伯崙城、先於建伊及之瑣安城七年、

來攻南方王者、必任意而行、莫之能禦、莫之能禦原文作無人能立於其前彼亦來居美地、美地盡歸其手下、

但其地之居民甚強、城垣甚堅固廣大、我又見亞衲族人在彼、

主怒震烈、孰能自立、其氣奮發、孰能當之、或作主震其怒誰能自立主發烈忿誰能當之赫怒孔發、若火炎炎、赫怒孔發若火炎炎原文作主之盛怒傾洩猶如烈火磐巖因主崩裂、

斯民眾多、其身軀雄偉、如亞衲族人然、主助亞捫人滅之、亞捫人據其地居焉、

天主若經過、執人而禁之、集眾集眾或作招會而鞫之、誰能禦之、

又見偉丈夫亞衲族人、我儕較彼、自視如蝗、彼之視我亦如是、

斯民同於亞衲族人、亦視為利乏音、利乏音或作偉人下同摩押人稱之為以米、以米譯即可畏者之義昔何利人居西珥、以掃子孫滅之、據其地居焉、猶以色列人在主所賜之為業之地所行者無異、○

我見牡綿羊牴觸、向西向北又向南、諸獸莫之能禦、莫之能禦原文作不能立於其前無能救護、脫於其害害原文作手者、惟任意而行、成為強大、

亦以其王付於爾手、爾必滅其名於天下、無人能禦爾、爾將滅之殆盡、

術士因瘡不能立於摩西前、術士亦生瘡、與他伊及人無異、
