愿他的后人断绝，名字被涂去，不传于下代！

义人的称号带来祝福；恶人的名字必然败坏。

耶和华对我说：“虽有摩西和撒母耳站在我面前，我的心也不顾惜这百姓。你把他们从我眼前赶出，叫他们出去吧！

那人在里面回答：‘不要打扰我，门已经关了，孩子们也同我在床上了，我不能起来给你。’我告诉你们，虽不因他是朋友起来给他，也会因他不顾面子地直求，起来照他所需要的给他。我又告诉你们，祈求，就给你们；寻找，就找到；叩门，就给你们开门。因为凡祈求的，就得着；寻找的，就找到；叩门的，就给他开门。

得胜的必这样穿白衣，我也不从生命册上涂去他的名；我要在我父面前，和我父的众使者面前，宣认他的名。

“你们这硬着颈项，心与耳未受割礼的人哪，时常抗拒圣灵！你们的祖宗怎样，你们也怎样。

现在，求你赦免他们的罪；不然，就把我从你所写的册上除名。”耶和华对摩西说：“谁得罪我，我就把他从我的册上除去。

耶和华又对我说：“不要为这百姓求福。

耶路撒冷啊，我在你城墙上设立守望者，他们昼夜不停地呼喊。呼求耶和华的啊，你们不要歇息，也不要使他歇息，直等他建立耶路撒冷，使耶路撒冷在地上为人所赞美。

耶和华对摩西说：“这百姓藐视我要到几时呢？我在他们中间行了这一切神迹，他们还不信我要到几时呢？我要用瘟疫击杀他们，使他们不得承受那地。我要使你成为大国，比他们强大。”

耶稣对门徒讲了一个比喻，为了要他们常常祷告，不可灰心。他说：“某城有一个官，不惧怕上帝，也不尊重人。那城里有个寡妇，常到他那里，说：‘我有一个冤家，求你给我伸冤。’他很久不受理，后来心里说：‘我虽不惧怕上帝，也不尊重人，只因这寡妇烦扰我，我就给她伸冤吧，免得她常来纠缠我。’”主说：“你们听这不义的官所说的话。上帝的选民昼夜呼吁他，他岂会延迟不给他们伸冤吗？我告诉你们，他很快就要给他们伸冤。然而，人子来的时候，能在世上找到这样的信德吗？”
