At the end of the forty days and forty nights, the Lord gave me the two stone tablets, the tablets of the covenant.

The 40 days and 40 nights came to an end. Then the Lord gave me the two stone tablets. They were the tablets of the covenant law.

And at the end of forty days and forty nights the Lord gave me the two tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant.

那时，我上了山，要领受石版，就是耶和华与你们立约的石版；那时我在山上住了四十昼夜，不吃不喝。

里面有金香坛，有全部包金的约柜，柜里有盛着吗哪的金罐、亚伦那发过芽的杖和两块约板。

但是现在耶稣得了更尊贵的职分，正好像他是更美的约的中保，这约是凭着更美的应许立的。如果头一个约没有缺点，就没有寻求另一个约的必要了。可是神指责他们，说：“看哪，主说，日子要到了，我要与以色列家和犹大家订立新约。这新约不像从前我拉他们祖先的手，领他们出埃及的日子与他们所立的约。因为他们没有遵守我的约，我就不理会他们。这是主说的。主说：‘因为在那些日子以后，我要与以色列家所立的约是这样：我要把我的律法放在他们的心思里面，写在他们的心上。我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。

以色列人从耶和华的山起行，行了三天的路程，耶和华的约柜在他们前面行了三天的路程，为他们寻找安息的地方。
