你也要记念耶和华你的神在旷野引导你这四十年，是要苦炼你，试验你，要知道你心内如何，肯守他的诫命不肯。

你要记得，这四十年耶和华—你的上帝在旷野一路引导你，是要磨炼你，考验你，为要知道你的心如何，是否愿意遵守他的诫命。

Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way. He guided you in the desert for these 40 years. He wanted to take your pride away. He wanted to test you to know what was in your hearts. He wanted to see whether you would obey his commands.

And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.

Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.

因为你们知道，你们的信仰经过考验就生出忍耐；

同样，你们年轻的，当服从年长的。每个人当彼此以谦卑束腰，因为“神抵挡骄傲的人，赐恩典给谦卑的人。”所以，你们当在神大能的手下降卑，好让他在所定的时候高举你们。

我要记念耶和华的作为，是的，我要记念你古时奇妙的事。

好让你们的信仰经过考验，就比那被火炼过仍然会朽坏的金子更加宝贵，能在耶稣基督显现的时候，被看为是可以得着称赞、荣耀和尊贵的。

当称谢那带领自己的子民走过旷野的，因他的慈爱永远长存！

我告诉你们：下去回家时已经被称为义的是这个税吏，而不是那个法利赛人。因为每一个自我高举的都会被降卑；而自我降卑的都会被高举。”

这些事以后，神试验亚伯拉罕，对他说：“亚伯拉罕！”他说：“我在这里！”

不过他赐下更大的恩典，所以经上说：“神抵挡骄傲的人，赐恩典给谦卑的人。”

我们的祖先在埃及时，不明白你的奇妙作为，不记念你丰盛的慈爱，反倒在红海边悖逆。

不过他来的日子，谁能承受得起呢？他显现的时候，谁能站立得住呢？因为他像炼金之人的火，又像漂布之人的碱。他必安坐像熬炼、洁净银子之人，洁净利未的子孙，精炼他们像精炼金银那样；他们就必藉着公义向耶和华献供物。

你在患难中呼求，我搭救了你，我在雷霆的隐秘处回应了你，在米利巴的水边察验了你。细拉

你们当在主面前降卑，他就会高举你们。

熔锅用以炼银，熔炉用以炼金；而耶和华察验人心。

所以你们当记住：从前，你们照着肉体说是外邦人，被那些所谓“受割礼的”称为“没受割礼的”；割礼是人手在肉体上所行的。那时候，你们与基督无关；被排除在以色列国民之外；在那些所应许的诸约上是外人；在这世界上没有盼望、没有神。

他也不需要谁来见证人的事，因为他知道人里面是什么。

到那日，人的高慢必会降卑，人的高傲必成卑贱；唯独耶和华被高举，

我要用瘟疫击杀她的儿女，这样各教会就将知道我就是洞察情感和心思的那一位；我也要照着你们的行为回报你们每个人。

所以，虽然你们已经知道这些事，又在你们已有的真理上得了坚固，我还是要不断地提醒你们。我认为，只要我还在这帐篷里，就理当用提醒的话来激发你们，

各位蒙爱的人哪，这已经是我写给你们的第二封信。在这两封信中，我都用提醒的话来激发你们纯洁的意念，要使你们想起圣先知们曾经说过的话，以及你们的使徒们所传的主、救主的命令。
