For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.

因为你归耶和华你神为圣洁的民；耶和华你神从地上的万民中拣选你，特作自己的子民。

“因为你是属于耶和华—你上帝神圣的子民；耶和华—你的上帝从地面上的万民中拣选你，作自己宝贵的子民。

“因为你是属于耶和华—你神神圣的子民；耶和华—你的神从地面上的万民中拣选你，作自己宝贵的子民。

因为你们属于你们的上帝耶和华，是圣洁的民族，祂从天下万族中拣选了你们做祂的子民——祂宝贵的产业。

“因为你是归耶和华你的神作圣洁的子民的；耶和华你的神从地上的万族中，拣选了你作他自己的产业，自己的子民。

因為你歸耶和華－你神為聖潔的民；耶和華－你神從地上的萬民中揀選你，特作自己的子民。

「因為你是屬於耶和華－你上帝神聖的子民；耶和華－你的上帝從地面上的萬民中揀選你，作自己寶貴的子民。

「因為你是屬於耶和華－你神神聖的子民；耶和華－你的神從地面上的萬民中揀選你，作自己寶貴的子民。

因為你們屬於你們的上帝耶和華，是聖潔的民族，祂從天下萬族中揀選了你們做祂的子民——祂寶貴的產業。

“因為你是歸耶和華你的神作聖潔的子民的；耶和華你的神從地上的萬族中，揀選了你作他自己的產業，自己的子民。

『因為你是聖別的子民、屬永恆主你的上帝的；從這地上萬族之民中、永恆主你的上帝是揀選了你屬於他做自己的子民。

蓋爾乃爾上帝耶和華之聖民、爾上帝耶和華於寰區億兆中、特選爾為己民、

爾上帝耶和華、於天下億兆中、特遴選爾、以爾為寶、成聖之民、役事上帝、

因爾曹在主爾天主前為聖民、主爾之天主在天下萬民中、特選爾以為己民、

For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.

You are a holy nation. The Lord your God has set you apart for himself. He has chosen you to be his special treasure. He chose you out of all the nations on the face of the earth to be his people.

“ For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

For you are a holy people belonging to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be his own possession out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His personal possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

“ For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.

For thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God: Jehovah thy God hath chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.

For you are a holy people belonging to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be His own possession out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

For thou[ art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that[ are] upon the face of the earth.

For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. He has chosen you to be his people, prized above all others on the face of the earth.

For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God. Yahweh your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.

You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.

Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me.And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.’ This is the message you must give to the people of Israel.”

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.”

In those days Israel was holy to the Lord, the first of his children. All who harmed his people were declared guilty, and disaster fell on them. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

“ They will be my people,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.“ On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child.

“ Bring my faithful people to me— those who made a covenant with me by giving sacrifices.”

He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

“ From among all the families on the earth, I have been intimate with you alone. That is why I must punish you for all your sins.”

And God did not spare the ancient world— except for Noah and the seven others in his family. Noah warned the world of God’s righteous judgment. So God protected Noah when he destroyed the world of ungodly people with a vast flood.

“ If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as his holy people as he swore he would do.

So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
