This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols in the fire.

So here is what you must do to those people. Break down their altars. Smash their sacred stones. Cut down the poles they use to worship the female god named Asherah. Burn the statues of their gods in the fire.

But thus shall you deal with them: you shall break down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and chop down their Asherim and burn their carved images with fire.

This is what you must do. You must break down their pagan altars and shatter their sacred pillars. Cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols.

他把亞舍拉從耶和華殿裏搬到耶路撒冷外的汲淪溪，在汲淪溪邊焚燒，打碎成灰，把灰撒在平民的墳上。他又拆毀耶和華殿裏男的廟妓的屋子，就是婦女在那裏為亞舍拉編織衣服的屋子。他從猶大的城鎮將眾祭司帶來，從迦巴直到別是巴，玷污祭司燒香的丘壇。他又拆毀城門旁的丘壇，這丘壇是在約書亞市長的城門前，在人進城門的左邊。只是丘壇的祭司不登耶路撒冷耶和華的壇，僅在他們弟兄中間吃無酵餅。他又玷污欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裏使兒女經火獻給摩洛。他把在耶和華殿門旁、靠近拿單‧米勒官員走廊的屋子，猶大列王獻給太陽的馬廢去，且用火焚燒獻給太陽的戰車。猶大列王在亞哈斯樓房頂上所築的壇和瑪拿西在耶和華殿兩院中所築的壇，王都拆毀，從那裏移走，把灰倒在汲淪溪中。從前以色列王所羅門在耶路撒冷東邊、邪僻山南邊為西頓人可憎的亞斯她錄、摩押人可憎的基抹、亞捫人可憎的米勒公所築的丘壇，王都玷污了，又打碎柱像，砍下亞舍拉，用人的骨頭填滿那地方。

我把那使你們犯罪所鑄的牛犢拿來，用火焚燒，搗碎後再磨成粉末，好像灰塵。我把這灰塵撒在從山上流下來的溪水中。

他將他們所鑄的牛犢用火焚燒，磨得粉碎，撒在水面上，叫以色列人喝。

那夜，耶和華對基甸說：「你要把你父親的公牛，就是那七歲的第二頭公牛取來，並拆毀你父親為巴力築的壇，砍下壇旁的亞舍拉，在這堡壘頂上整整齊齊地為耶和華－你的上帝築一座壇，將第二頭公牛獻為燔祭，用你所砍下的亞舍拉當柴。」

「你們不可為自己造虛無的神明，不可豎立雕刻的偶像或柱像，也不可在你們的地上安放石像，向它跪拜，因為我是耶和華－你們的上帝。

也不可為自己設立柱像，這是耶和華－你的上帝所憎恨的。」
