This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols in the fire.

So here is what you must do to those people. Break down their altars. Smash their sacred stones. Cut down the poles they use to worship the female god named Asherah. Burn the statues of their gods in the fire.

But thus shall you deal with them: you shall break down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and chop down their Asherim and burn their carved images with fire.

This is what you must do. You must break down their pagan altars and shatter their sacred pillars. Cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols.

你們要將所趕出的國民事奉神的各地方，無論是在高山，在小山，在各青翠樹下，都毀壞了；也要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，用火焚燒他們的木偶，砍下他們雕刻的神像，並將其名從那地方除滅。

又從耶和華殿裏將亞舍拉搬到耶路撒冷外汲淪溪邊焚燒，打碎成灰，將灰撒在平民的墳上；又拆毀耶和華殿裏孌童的屋子，就是婦女為亞舍拉織帳子的屋子，並且從猶大的城邑帶眾祭司來，污穢祭司燒香的邱壇，從迦巴直到別是巴，又拆毀城門旁的邱壇，這邱壇在邑宰約書亞門前，進城門的左邊。但是邱壇的祭司不登耶路撒冷耶和華的壇，只在他們弟兄中間吃無酵餅。又污穢欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裏使兒女經火獻給摩洛；又將猶大列王在耶和華殿門旁、太監拿單‧米勒靠近遊廊的屋子、向日頭所獻的馬廢去，且用火焚燒日車。猶大列王在亞哈斯樓頂上所築的壇和瑪拿西在耶和華殿兩院中所築的壇，王都拆毀打碎了，就把灰倒在汲淪溪中。從前以色列王所羅門在耶路撒冷前、邪僻山右邊為西頓人可憎的神亞斯她錄、摩押人可憎的神基抹、亞捫人可憎的神米勒公所築的邱壇，王都污穢了，又打碎柱像，砍下木偶，將人的骨頭充滿了那地方。

我把那叫你們犯罪所鑄的牛犢用火焚燒，又搗碎磨得很細，以致細如灰塵，我就把這灰塵撒在從山上流下來的溪水中。

又將他們所鑄的牛犢用火焚燒，磨得粉碎，撒在水面上，叫以色列人喝。

當那夜，耶和華吩咐基甸說：「你取你父親的牛來，就是那七歲的第二隻牛，並拆毀你父親為巴力所築的壇，砍下壇旁的木偶，在這磐石上整整齊齊地為耶和華－你的神築一座壇，將第二隻牛獻為燔祭，用你所砍下的木偶作柴。」

「你們不可做甚麼虛無的神像，不可立雕刻的偶像或是柱像，也不可在你們的地上安甚麼鏨成的石像，向它跪拜，因為我是耶和華－你們的神。

也不可為自己設立柱像；這是耶和華－你神所恨惡的。
