不可与他们通婚，不可让你们的儿女与他们的儿女通婚，

Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons,

耶和华曾告诉以色列人不可跟这些外族人通婚，免得受引诱去随从他们的神明，所罗门却迷恋这些女子。

“不可与当地的居民立约，免得他们与自己的神明苟合时邀请你，你就吃他们的祭物，给儿子娶他们的女儿为妻，以致她们与自己的神明苟合时诱使你的儿子犯同样的罪。

那些天，我见犹大人娶了亚实突、亚扪和摩押的女子为妻。他们半数的子女说亚实突话或其他外族人的话，不懂得犹大话。我就斥责他们，咒诅他们，打了他们其中一些人，又扯他们的头发，要他们奉上帝的名起誓不再让自己的子女与外族人通婚，自己也不娶外族女子。我说：“这岂不是以色列王所罗门所犯的罪吗？众国中没有王可与他相比，他的上帝爱他，立他做全以色列的王。然而，连他也被外族女子引入罪中。我怎能听凭你们行这大恶，因娶外族女子而背叛我们的上帝呢？”

这些事以后，众首领来告诉我说：“以色列民众、祭司和利未人还没有与当地各族分开，他们仍随从迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亚扪人、摩押人、埃及人和亚摩利人的可憎行为。他们为自己和自己的儿子娶这些人的女儿为妻，使圣洁的民族与当地的人混杂。首领和官员是这种不忠之事的罪魁。”

如果你们悖逆，跟你们当中剩下的异族人联合，通婚往来，毫无疑问，你们的上帝耶和华必不再为你们赶走他们。相反，他们还要成为设在你们当中的圈套和陷阱，你们的肉中刺、眼中钉，直到你们在你们的上帝耶和华所赐给你们的这块美好的土地上灭亡。

不要和非信徒同负一轭，因为公义和不法怎能合作呢？光明和黑暗怎能共存呢？基督与魔鬼怎能相容呢？信徒与非信徒有什么相干呢？上帝的殿与偶像怎能相提并论呢？因为我们就是永活上帝的殿，正如上帝说：“我要住在他们中间，在他们当中往来；我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。”又说：“所以，你们要从他们中间出来，离开他们，不要沾染污秽之物，我就接纳你们。

跟他们通婚，祭拜他们的神明。以色列人做耶和华视为恶的事，忘记他们的上帝耶和华，祭拜假神巴力和亚舍拉。

上帝的儿子们看见人的女儿漂亮，就随意选来做妻子。耶和华说：“人既然是血肉之躯，我的灵不会永远住在人的里面，然而人还可以活一百二十年。”
