因為耶和華已經把又大又強的列國從你們面前趕出；直到今日，沒有一人能在你們面前站立得住。

他們帶出那五個王到約書亞那裏的時候，約書亞就召了以色列眾人來，對和他同去的軍官說：「你們近前來，把腳踏在這些王的頸項上。」他們就近前來，把腳踏在這些王的頸項上。約書亞對他們說：「你們不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。當剛強壯膽，因為耶和華必這樣處置你們要攻打的所有仇敵。」

約書亞一舉擊敗了這些王，奪了他們的地，因為耶和華－以色列的上帝為以色列作戰。

凡為攻擊你而造的兵器必無效用；在審判時興起用口舌攻擊你的，你必駁倒他。這是耶和華僕人的產業，是他們從我所得的義；這是耶和華說的。

我必伸手攻擊猶大和耶路撒冷所有的居民；從這地方剪除剩下的巴力、事奉偶像之祭司的名字與祭司；

耶和華必不願饒恕他；耶和華的怒氣與妒忌必向他如煙冒出，將這書上所寫的一切詛咒都加在他身上，耶和華也要從天下塗去他的名。

然而，靠着愛我們的主，在這一切的事上，我們已經得勝有餘了。

耶和華對摩西說：「你要把這事記錄在書上作紀念，又念給約書亞聽：我要把亞瑪力的名字從天下全然塗去。」

你曾斥責列國，滅絕惡人；你曾塗去他們的名，直到永永遠遠。

你們要對他們這樣說：「那些不是創造天地的神明，必從地上、從天下被除滅！」

這些是以色列人在約旦河東，向日出的方向，從亞嫩谷直到黑門山，以及東邊亞拉巴的整個地區所擊殺的王和所得的地：有住希實本的亞摩利王西宏，他統治的地從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥起，包括谷中之城和基列的一半，直到亞捫人邊界的雅博河，以及從東邊的亞拉巴，直到基尼烈海，又向東通過伯‧耶施末的路，直到亞拉巴的海，就是鹽海，再往南直到毗斯迦山斜坡的山腳。又有巴珊王噩，他是利乏音人所剩下的，住在亞斯她錄和以得來。他統治的地是黑門山、撒迦、巴珊全地，直到基述人和瑪迦人的邊界，以及基列的一半，直到希實本王西宏的邊界。這兩個王是耶和華的僕人摩西和以色列人所擊殺的。耶和華的僕人摩西把他們的地賜給呂便人、迦得人和瑪拿西半支派的人為業。

義人的稱號帶來祝福；惡人的名字必然敗壞。

所以，當耶和華－你的上帝使你不被四圍一切仇敵擾亂，在耶和華－你上帝賜你為業的地上得享平靜的時候，你要把亞瑪力的名從天下塗去；你不可忘記這事。」

感謝上帝，他使我們藉着我們的主耶穌基督得勝。
