但祂必毫不遲延地報應、毀滅那些恨祂的人。

But those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction; he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him.

耶和華是痛恨不貞、施行報應的上帝。耶和華施行報應，充滿烈怒。耶和華報應祂的仇敵，向他們發烈怒。

祂必按各人的行為報應各人，向祂的敵人發烈怒，懲罰祂的仇敵，向眾海島施行報應。

耶和華啊，你的手必尋索你的敵人，你用右手搜出所有恨你的人。你一出現，他們便像身在火爐中，你在烈怒中吞滅他們，你的烈火燒滅他們。

所以你們要知道，你們的上帝耶和華是真神，是信實的真神，祂向愛祂、遵守祂誡命的人守約、施慈愛直到千代。

主的應許還未實現，有人以為祂拖延，其實祂不是拖延，而是在寬容你們。祂不願任何人滅亡，願意人人悔改。不過，主再來的日子要像賊一樣突然臨到。那日，諸天必在一聲巨響中消失，有形有質的都要被烈火焚毀，大地和其中的一切將不復存在。

我要磨快閃亮的劍，主持公道，報應仇敵，懲罰恨我的人。

外有刀劍殺戮，內有恐懼籠罩，少男、少女、嬰兒、老人無一倖免。

伸冤在我，我必報應，到時候他們必站不住腳，他們遭禍的日子近了，他們的末日來了。』

親愛的弟兄姊妹，不要私自報復，要讓上帝來審判，因為聖經上說：「主說，『伸冤在我，我必報應。』」

不可跪拜它們，也不可供奉它們，因為我——你的上帝耶和華痛恨不貞，我必追討背棄我之人的罪，從父到子直到三四代。

恨我的，也恨我的父。我如果沒有在他們當中行過空前的神蹟，他們就沒有罪了。然而，他們親眼看見了，竟然還恨我和我的父。

看啊！義人在世上尚且遭報，更何況罪人和惡人呢？
