When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations— the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you—

The Lord your God will bring you into the land. You are going to enter it and take it as your own. He’ll drive out many nations to make room for you. He’ll drive out the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. Those seven nations are larger and stronger than you are.

“ When the Lord your God brings you into the land that you are entering to take possession of it, and clears away many nations before you, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations more numerous and mightier than you,

為要把比你大比你強的民族，從你面前趕走，然後領你進去，把他們的地賜給你作產業，像今日一樣。

“以色列啊，你要聽，你今日快要過約旦河，進去趕出比你又大又強的列國，佔領堅固、高得頂天的城市。

耶和華你的神要親自領你們過去，從你們面前消滅這些國的民，使你們得著他們的地，照著耶和華說過的，約書亞要親自領你們過去。

“你出去和你的仇敵作戰的時候，看見馬匹、車輛和比你多的人群，你不要怕他們，因為那把你們從埃及地領上來的耶和華你的神，與你同在。

我要差派使者在你前面；我要把迦南人、亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人趕出去，

就在那時候，耶和華與亞伯蘭立約說：“我已經把這地賜給你的後裔了，就是從埃及河直到幼發拉底河之地；就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼人、赫人、比利洗人、利乏音人、亞摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人、耶布斯人之地。”

滅了迦南地的七族之後，就把那地分給他們為業；

你曾親手把列國趕出去，卻栽培了我們的列祖；你曾苦待眾民，卻使我們的列祖昌盛。因為他們取得那地，不是靠自己的刀劍；他們得勝，也不是靠自己的膀臂；而是靠你的右手、你的膀臂和你臉上的光，因為你喜悅他們。

耶和華你的神把這些國的民從你面前驅逐出去以後，你心裡不要說：‘耶和華把我領進來取得這地，是因著我的義。’其實耶和華從你面前把這些國的民趕出去，是因著他們的惡。

“以色列人哪，現在你們要聽我向來教訓你們遵行的律例和典章，使你們可以活著，可以進去得著耶和華你們列祖的神賜給你們的地作產業。我吩咐你們的話，你們不可增加，也不可減少，好使你們遵守我吩咐你們的，就是耶和華你們的神的命令。耶和華因巴力．毗珥的事所行的，你們都親眼看見了；所有跟隨巴力．毗珥的人，耶和華你們的神都從你們中間消滅了。

但是你們的孩子，就是你們所說他們必被擄掠的，我要把他們領進去，他們必得著你們厭棄的那地。

耶和華你的神領你進入你要佔領為業之地以後，你就要把祝福擺在基利心山上，把咒詛擺在以巴路山上。

照著耶和華說過的，把你所有的仇敵從你面前趕逐出去。

你以莫大的威榮，毀滅了那些起來攻擊你的人；你發出烈怒，把他們燒滅像燒禾稭一樣。

他在他們面前把外族人趕出去，用繩子量地，分給他們作為產業，又使以色列眾支派的人居住在自己的帳棚裡。

我舉手起誓要給亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的地，我必領你們進去；我也必把那地賜給你們作產業；我是耶和華。’”

我必在你面前打發大黃蜂，把希未人、迦南人、赫人，都從你面前驅逐出去。

因為我把他們領進了我向他們的列祖起誓應許的地，就是流奶與蜜的地，他們在那裡吃飽了，發胖了，就必偏向別的神，事奉他們，藐視我，破壞我的約。

“耶和華你的神領你進入他向你列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許給你的地；那裡有不是你建造的，又高大又美麗的城市，

卻把我們從那裡領出來，為要領我們進入他向我們列祖起誓應許的地，要把這地賜給我們。

“以下是耶和華你們的神吩咐我教導你們的誡命、律例、典章，使你們在將要過去佔領為業的地上遵行，
