你們的兒女問你們說：『行這禮是甚麼意思？』你們就說：『這是獻給耶和華逾越節的祭。當以色列人在埃及的時候，他擊殺埃及人，越過以色列人的房屋，救了我們各家。』」於是百姓低頭下拜。

我眷顧他，為要叫他吩咐他的眾子和他的眷屬遵守我的道，秉公行義，使我所應許亞伯拉罕的話都成就了。」

「你只要謹慎，殷勤保守你的心靈，免得忘記你親眼所看見的事，又免得你一生，這事離開你的心；總要傳給你的子子孫孫。你在何烈山站在耶和華－你神面前的那日，耶和華對我說：『你為我招聚百姓，我要叫他們聽見我的話，使他們存活在世的日子，可以學習敬畏我，又可以教訓兒女這樣行。』

污穢的言語一句不可出口，只要隨事說造就人的好話，叫聽見的人得益處。

我們不將這些事向他們的子孫隱瞞，要將耶和華的美德和他的能力，並他奇妙的作為，述說給後代聽。因為，他在雅各中立法度，在以色列中設律法；是他吩咐我們祖宗要傳給子孫的，使將要生的後代子孫可以曉得；他們也要起來告訴他們的子孫，

日後，你的兒子問你說：『這是甚麼意思？』你就說：『耶和華用大能的手將我們從埃及為奴之家領出來。那時法老幾乎不容我們去，耶和華就把埃及地所有頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都殺了。因此，我把一切頭生的公牲畜獻給耶和華為祭，但將頭生的兒子都贖出來。

善人從他心裏所存的善就發出善來；惡人從他心裏所存的惡就發出惡來；因為心裏所充滿的，口裏就說出來。」

只要心裏尊主基督為聖。有人問你們心中盼望的緣由，就要常作準備，以溫柔、敬畏的心回答各人；

義人的口教養多人；愚昧人因無知而死亡。

我也要在君王面前論說你的法度，並不至於羞愧。

你行走，它必引導你；你躺臥，它必保守你；你睡醒，它必與你談論。

我在大會中宣傳公義的佳音；我必不止住我的嘴唇。耶和華啊，這是你所知道的。我未曾把你的公義藏在心裏；我已陳明你的信實和你的救恩；我在大會中未曾隱瞞你的慈愛和誠實。

智慧人的嘴播揚知識；愚昧人的心並不如此。

那時，敬畏耶和華的彼此談論，耶和華側耳而聽，且有紀念冊在他面前，記錄那敬畏耶和華、思念他名的人。

智慧人的舌善發知識；愚昧人的口吐出愚昧。

你們的言語要常常帶着和氣，好像用鹽調和，就可知道該怎樣回答各人。

過路的也不說：願耶和華所賜的福歸與你們！我們奉耶和華的名給你們祝福！

在城門坐着的眾民和長老都說：「我們作見證。願耶和華使進你家的這女子，像建立以色列家的拉結、利亞二人一樣。又願你在以法他得亨通，在伯利恆得名聲。

義人的口談論智慧；他的舌頭講說公平。

波阿斯正從伯利恆來，對收割的人說：「願耶和華與你們同在！」他們回答說：「願耶和華賜福與你！」

願耶和華照你所行的賞賜你。你來投靠耶和華－以色列神的翅膀下，願你滿得他的賞賜。」
