Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

Israel, listen to me. The Lord is our God. The Lord is the one and only God.

Hear, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah:

“ Listen, Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One.

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God[ is] one LORD:

Listen, Israel: The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!

Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is one.

Jesus replied,“ The most important commandment is this:‘ Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord.And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’The second is equally important:‘ Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”The teacher of religious law replied,“ Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth by saying that there is only one God and no other.

For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity— the man Christ Jesus.

This is what the Lord says— Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies:“ I am the First and the Last; there is no other God.

And this is the way to have eternal life— to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

The Father and I are one.”

I am the Lord; there is no other God. I have equipped you for battle, though you don’t even know me,so all the world from east to west will know there is no other God. I am the Lord, and there is no other.

“ I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols.

Do not tremble; do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim my purposes for you long ago? You are my witnesses— is there any other God? No! There is no other Rock— not one!”

So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God.There may be so called gods both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many lords.But for us, There is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live.

“ I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.

Then David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly:“ O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may you be praised forever and ever!

But the Lord is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King! The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath.Say this to those who worship other gods:“ Your so called gods, who did not make the heavens and earth, will vanish from the earth and from under the heavens.”

“ He showed you these things so you would know that the Lord is God and there is no other.He let you hear his voice from heaven so he could instruct you. He let you see his great fire here on earth so he could speak to you from it.

Then Elijah stood in front of them and said,“ How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent.

After King Hezekiah’s officials delivered the king’s message to Isaiah,
