The LORD commanded us to obey all these statutes and to revere him so that it may always go well for us and he may preserve us, as he has to this day.

The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.

The Lord our God commanded us to obey all his rules. He commanded us to honor him. If we do, we will always succeed and be kept alive. That’s what is happening today.

And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are this day.

Now, Israel, pay attention to the statutes and ordinances I am about to teach you, so that you might live and go on to enter and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.

He preserves our lives and does not allow our feet to slip.

For Moses writes about the righteousness that is by the law:“ The one who does these things will live by them.”

So what benefit did you then reap from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.But now, freed from sin and enslaved to God, you have your benefit leading to sanctification, and the end is eternal life.

But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

So he humbled you by making you hungry and then feeding you with unfamiliar manna. He did this to teach you that humankind cannot live by bread alone, but also by everything that comes from the LORD’s mouth.

The reward for humility and fearing the LORD is riches and honor and life.

But you who remained faithful to the LORD your God are still alive to this very day, every one of you.

Tell the innocent it will go well with them, for they will be rewarded for what they have done.

If you are righteous, what do you give to God, or what does he receive from your hand?Your wickedness affects only a person like yourself, and your righteousness only other people.

If you are wise, you are wise to your own advantage, but if you are a mocker, you alone must bear it.

Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you except to revere him, to obey all his commandments, to love him, to serve him with all your mind and being,and to keep the Lord’s commandments and statutes that I am giving you today for your own good?
