The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.

你們現今所看為羞恥的事，當日有甚麼果子呢？那些事的結局就是死。但現今，你們既從罪裏得了釋放，作了神的奴僕，就有成聖的果子，那結局就是永生。

你們要先求他的國和他的義，這些東西都要加給你們了。

他苦煉你，任你飢餓，將你和你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，使你知道，人活着不是單靠食物，乃是靠耶和華口裏所出的一切話。

敬畏耶和華心存謙卑，就得富有、尊榮、生命為賞賜。

惟有你們專靠耶和華－你們神的人，今日全都存活。

你們要論義人說：他必享福樂，因為要吃自己行為所結的果子。

你若是公義，還能加增他甚麼呢？他從你手裏還接受甚麼呢？你的過惡或能害你這類的人；你的公義或能叫世人得益處。

你若有智慧，是與自己有益；你若褻慢，就必獨自擔當。

「以色列啊，現在耶和華－你神向你所要的是甚麼呢？只要你敬畏耶和華－你的神，遵行他的道，愛他，盡心盡性事奉他，遵守他的誡命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，為要叫你得福。
