The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.

关于律法的义，摩西写道：“人若遵行律法的诫命，就必活着。”

做了现在想起来也觉得羞耻的事，得到了什么益处呢？那些事只能导致死亡！但现在你们已从罪中得到释放，做了上帝的奴仆，这样会使你们圣洁，最终得到永生。

“你们要先寻求上帝的国和祂的义，这一切都会赐给你们。

祂让你们忍饥挨饿，然后赐给你们祖祖辈辈从未见过的吗哪吃，为了使你们明白人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠祂口中的每一句话。

心存谦卑、敬畏耶和华，必得财富、尊荣和生命。

但你们这些信靠你们的上帝耶和华的人至今还活着。

要告诉义人：他们有福了，必得善报。

你若为人公义，与祂何益？祂从你手上能得什么好处？你的罪恶只能伤害你的同类，你的公义只能令世人受益。

人有智慧，自得益处；人好嘲讽，自食恶果。

“以色列人啊，你们的上帝耶和华对你们有何要求？无非要你们敬畏祂，遵行祂的旨意，爱祂，全心全意地事奉祂，遵守祂的诫命和律例。我今天把这些诫命和律例赐给你们，是为了你们的益处。
