you must say to them,“ We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt, but the LORD brought us out of Egypt in a powerful way.

必告之曰、我儕昔在伊及為法老之奴、主施展大能、導我出伊及、

tell him:“ We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, but the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

If they do ask you, tell them,“ We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. But the Lord used his mighty hand to bring us out of Egypt.

then you shall say to your son,‘ We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. And the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

“ Then you must tell them,‘ We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt, but the Lord brought us out of Egypt with his strong hand.

then you shall tell your son,“ We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;

Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh– who are called“ uncircumcision” by the so- called“ circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands–that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

“ I, the LORD, am your God, who brought you from the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

But thanks be to God that though you were slaves to sin, you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching you were entrusted to,and having been freed from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.

“ You saw the affliction of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cry at the Red Sea.You performed awesome signs against Pharaoh, against his servants, and against all the people of his land, for you knew that the Egyptians had acted presumptuously against them. You made for yourself a name that is celebrated to this day.

Moses said to the people,“ Remember this day on which you came out from Egypt, from the place where you were enslaved, for the LORD brought you out of there with a mighty hand– and no bread made with yeast may be eaten.

to the one who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, for his loyal love endures,and led Israel out from their midst, for his loyal love endures,with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for his loyal love endures,

You did miracles and amazing deeds in the land of Egypt which have had lasting effect. By this means you gained both in Israel and among humankind a renown that lasts to this day.You used your mighty power and your great strength to perform miracles and amazing deeds and to bring great terror on the Egyptians. By this means you brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt.

But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go, not even under force.

“ I am the LORD your God, he who brought you from the land of Egypt, from the place of slavery.

Then you must affirm before the LORD YOUR GOD,“ A wandering Aramean was my ancestor, and he went down to Egypt and lived there as a foreigner with a household few in number, but there he became a great, powerful, and numerous people.But the Egyptians mistreated and oppressed us, forcing us to do burdensome labor.So we cried out to the LORD, the God of our ancestors, and he heard us and saw our humiliation, toil, and oppression.Therefore the LORD brought us out of Egypt with tremendous strength and power, as well as with great awe-inspiring signs and wonders.Then he brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you; therefore, I am commanding you to do this thing today.

“ Listen to me, you who pursue godliness, who seek the LORD! Look at the rock from which you were chiseled, at the quarry from which you were dug!

Recall that you were slaves in the land of Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out of there by strength and power. That is why the LORD your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.
