Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors,

再者，我對惡人說：『你必定死亡！』他若轉離他的罪，行正直與合理的事：

惡人轉離他的惡，行正直與合理的事，就必因此存活。

「你們還說：『兒子為何不擔當父親的罪孽呢？』兒子行正直與合理的事，謹守遵行我的一切律例，他必定存活。

「你要謹慎，免得忘記耶和華－你的神，不守他的誡命、典章、律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的；

「惡人若回頭離開所做的一切罪惡，謹守我一切的律例，行正直與合理的事，他必定存活，不致死亡。

他所犯的一切罪必不被記念。他行了正直與合理的事，必定存活。

那差我來的是與我同在；他沒有撇下我獨自在這裏，因為我常做他所喜悅的事。」

又說：「你若留意聽耶和華－你神的話，又行我眼中看為正的事，留心聽我的誡命，守我一切的律例，我就不將所加與埃及人的疾病加在你身上，因為我－耶和華是醫治你的。」

耶和華－你們神所吩咐你們行的，你們都要去行，使你們可以存活得福，並使你們的日子在所要承受的地上得以長久。」

你們要論義人說：他必享福樂，因為要吃自己行為所結的果子。

況且你的僕人因此受警戒，守着這些便有大賞。

不要效法這個世界，只要心意更新而變化，叫你們察驗何為神的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意。

「人若是公義，且行正直與合理的事：

你要謹守聽從我所吩咐的一切話，行耶和華－你神眼中看為善，看為正的事。這樣，你和你的子孫就可以永遠享福。」

誰是智慧人？可以明白這些事；誰是通達人？可以知道這一切。因為，耶和華的道是正直的；義人必在其中行走，罪人卻在其上跌倒。

再者，惡人若回頭離開所行的惡，行正直與合理的事，他必將性命救活了。
