for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land.

The Lord your God is among you. He wants you to worship only him. If you worship other gods, God will be very angry with you. And he will destroy you from the face of the land.

for the Lord your God in your midst is a jealous God— lest the anger of the Lord your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.

for the Lord your God, who lives among you, is a jealous God. His anger will flare up against you, and he will wipe you from the face of the earth.

因为耶和华你的神是烈火，是忌邪的神。

不可跪拜它们，也不可事奉它们，因为我耶和华你们的神是忌邪的神；恨恶我的，我必追讨他们的罪，从父亲到儿子，直到三四代。

因为他必使你的儿子离开我，去事奉别的神，以致耶和华向你们发烈怒，就快快地把你们消灭。

叫耶和华的怒气向你发作，就把天封闭，不降下雨水，地也不生出土产，使你们从耶和华赐给你们的美地上，快快地灭亡。

这事成为耶罗波安的家的罪，以致他的家从地上被涂抹与除灭。

为什么让埃及人议论，说：‘把他们领出来是出于恶意的，要在山上杀死他们，在地上消灭他们’呢？求你回心转意，不发烈怒；求你改变初衷，不降祸给你的人民。

“看哪！耶和华的眼目察看这有罪的国，我要把它从地上除灭；却必不把雅各家完全除灭。”这是耶和华的宣告。

他们却戏弄神的使者，藐视他的话，讥诮他的先知，以致耶和华的忿怒临到他的子民身上，直到无法挽救。

谁晓得你怒气的威力，谁按着你该受的敬畏晓得你的忿怒呢？

“地上万族中，我只拣选了你；因此，我必追讨你们的一切罪。”

不可跪拜它们，也不可事奉它们，因为我耶和华你们的神是忌邪的神；恨恶我的，我必追讨他们的罪，从父亲到儿子，直到三四代。

当日耶和华的怒气发作，就起誓说：‘从埃及上来二十岁及以上的人，必不得看见我对亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许的地，因为他们没有专心跟从我。唯独基尼洗人耶孚尼的儿子迦勒，和嫩的儿子约书亚可以看见，因为他们专心跟从耶和华。’耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，使他们在旷野飘流了四十年，等到在耶和华眼前行恶的那一代都灭尽了。现在，你们这些罪人的族类，也来接替你们的先祖，增添耶和华对以色列的烈怒！如果你们转离，不跟从他，他再要把以色列人撇在旷野，这样，你们就要把整个民族都毁灭了。”

我们因你的怒气而消灭，因你的烈怒而惊恐。

因为再过七天，我就要一连四十昼夜降雨在地上，我把所造的一切生物都从地上除灭。”

难道我们要激起主的忿怒吗？我们比他更强吗？
