勿拜跪、勿崇奉、以我耶和華爾之上帝、乃忌邪之上帝、惡我者討其罪、自父及子、至三四世、

毋拜跪、毋崇奉、以我耶和華即爾之上帝、斷不容以他上帝匹我、惡我者禍之、自父及子、至三四世、

毋跪拜、毋崇事、蓋我耶和華爾之天主、乃忌邪之天主、或作不容人崇奉別神惡我者、我必討其罪、以及子孫、至三四代、

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Do not bow down to them or worship them. I am the Lord your God. I want you to worship only me. I cause the sins of the parents to affect their children. I will cause the sins of those who hate me to affect even their grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected— even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.

Do not bow in worship to them, and do not serve them, because I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me,

You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, inflicting the punishment of the fathers on the children, even on the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God[ am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth[ generation] of them that hate me,

You must not worship or serve them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God. I punish the sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons for the sin of the fathers who reject me,

You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them; for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me;

『不可為你自己造雕像，也不可造上天、下地、及地底下水中任何物件的形像。不可敬拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我永恆主你的上帝是忌邪的上帝；恨我的、我必察罰他們的罪愆、從父親到兒子、到三四代。愛我守我誡命的、我必堅心愛他們、直到千代。

為千萬代的人持守堅固之愛，饒赦愆尤、過犯、罪惡；萬不以有罪為無罪，乃是要察罰罪愆，從父親到兒子、以及兒孫，到三四代。』

我向永恆主我的上帝祈禱認罪，說：『哦，主啊，至大、至可畏懼的上帝啊，向愛你守你誡命的人守約守堅愛的啊，我們犯罪作孽，行惡背叛，偏離了你的誡命典章；我們也沒有聽從你僕人、眾神言人們、那些奉你名向我們的王和首領跟父老及國中眾民說了話的人。主啊，你是對的，是我們滿面蒙羞，正如今日一樣；慚愧的是猶大人，是耶路撒冷居民，是以色列眾人、無論近處或遠處、在你趕逐他們到之各地的，都因他們對你表現了不忠實。永恆主啊，是我們滿臉蒙羞：慚愧的是我們的王、和首領跟父老，因為我們犯罪得罪了你。但是憐憫人赦免人的乃是主我們的上帝；因為我們背叛了他；

（不可拜別的神，因為那名為忌邪者永恆主是忌邪的上帝），

「永恆主不輕易發怒，乃有豐盛的堅愛；他饒赦罪愆、過犯；萬不以有罪為無罪，乃是要察罰罪愆，從父親到兒子、到三四代。」

你施堅固的愛與千萬人，又將做父親者的罪孽報應在他以後的子孫身上，至大至有能力的上帝、萬軍之永恆主耶和華是你的名。

按接受福音來說呢，為了你們的益處、他們算為仇敵；但按揀選來說呢，他們卻因了列祖的緣故是蒙愛者。因為上帝的恩賜與呼召是沒有後悔的。

叫流在地上的義血都歸到你們身上，從義人亞伯的血起，直到巴拉加兒子撒迦利亞的血為止；他就是你們在殿堂和祭壇間所殺害的。我實在告訴你們、這一切罪責、都必歸到這世代來。
