毋跪拜、毋崇事、蓋我耶和華爾之天主、乃忌邪之天主、或作不容人崇奉別神惡我者、我必討其罪、以及子孫、至三四代、

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Do not bow down to them or worship them. I am the Lord your God. I want you to worship only me. I cause the sins of the parents to affect their children. I will cause the sins of those who hate me to affect even their grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected— even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.

Do not bow in worship to them, and do not serve them, because I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me,

You must not worship or serve them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God. I punish the sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons for the sin of the fathers who reject me,

You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them; for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me;

“不可为自己做偶像，也不可做天上、地下和地底下水中各物的形象。不可跪拜它们，也不可事奉它们，因为我耶和华你们的神是忌邪的神；恨恶我的，我必追讨他们的罪，从父亲到儿子，直到三四代。爱我和遵守我诫命的，我必向他们施慈爱，直到千代。

为千千万万人留下慈爱，赦免罪孽、过犯和罪恶。一定要清除罪，追讨罪孽自父及子至孙，直到三四代。”

我向耶和华我的神祷告、认罪，说：“主啊！伟大可畏的神，你向那些爱你（“你”原文作“他”），遵守你（“你”原文作“他”）诫命的人守约施慈爱。我们犯了罪，行了不义，作了恶，背叛了你，偏离了你的诫命典章；没有听从你的仆人众先知，他们奉你的名向我们的君王、领袖、列祖和国中所有的人民说话。主啊！你是公义的；我们满面羞愧，正如今日的光景；我们犹大人、耶路撒冷的居民，和被你赶逐到远近各地的以色列众人，都因对你不忠而满面羞愧。耶和华啊！我们和我们的君王、领袖、列祖，都满面羞愧，因为我们得罪了你。虽然我们背叛了主我们的神，他仍是满有怜悯和饶恕。

你不可敬拜别的神，因为耶和华是忌邪的神，他名为忌邪者。

‘耶和华不轻易发怒，且有丰盛的慈爱；他赦免罪孽和过犯；绝不以有罪的为无罪，必追讨罪孽，自父到子，直到三四代。’

你向千万人施慈爱，又把父亲的罪孽都报应在他们的儿女身上。你是伟大、有能力的神，万军之耶和华是你（“你”原文作“他”）的名。

就福音来说，因你们的缘故，他们是仇敌；就拣选来说，因祖宗的缘故，他们是蒙爱的。因为神的恩赏和呼召是决不会反悔的。

所以，从义人亚伯的血起，到巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血为止，他就是你们在圣所和祭坛中间所杀的，所有义人在地上所流的血，都要归在你们身上。我实在告诉你们，这一切都必临到这个世代。
