At that time I was standing between the LORD and you to report the word of the LORD to you, because you were afraid of the fire and did not go up the mountain. And he said:

( I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,

( I was standing between the LORD and you at that time to reveal to you the message of the LORD, because you were afraid of the fire and would not go up the mountain.) He said:

( I stood between Yahweh and you at that time, to show you Yahweh’s word; for you were afraid because of the fire, and didn’t go up onto the mountain) saying,

然則律法何以、曰、律法為有罪者設、待所應許之裔至、且律法藉天使賜中保以傳、

三日黎明、雷電交作、黑雲蔽山、角鳴甚厲、遍營之民、無不戰慄。

民見雷迅電閃、角鳴烟障、則畏避遙立、謂摩西曰、汝與我言、我則聽從、如上帝與我言、我恐死亡。摩西曰、勿懼、蓋上帝降臨、試於爾眾、俾爾敬畏、毋蹈愆尤。於是民遙立、而摩西至上帝所、幽深玄遠之處。○

爾所至者、非有形之山、在彼火焰靉靆、幽暗暴風、號角之音、傳誡之聲、聞之者、請勿復言、上帝命、若走獸近山、必石擊箭射之、其命人不忍聞、所見可畏、摩西曰、吾恐懼戰慄、見爾所至者、郇山、永生上帝邑、天上之耶路撒冷、有天使咸集、不下數萬、有冢子之會錄於天、有鞫眾之上帝、有義人得全其神、有新約中保耶穌其灑血默籲、較亞伯為尤善、

惟爾可近我耶和華、其餘及民、皆不可近。摩西以耶和華所諭命令法度、遍告億兆、同聲對曰、耶和華所諭、我必遵行。

人手所作之聖所、即彷佛真幕模範、基督不之入、乃升於天、立上帝前以佑我、

耶和華又曰、其長者牧伯悉屬猶大、凡盡心求我者、我必使之進於前、為我僕從。

爾盍近前、聞我上帝耶和華所言、傳之於我、我必遵行。

使者示我以象、見祭司長約書亞、侍於耶和華天使前、撒但立於右以禦之、耶和華告撒但曰、我耶和華必責爾撒但、我耶和華以耶路撒冷民為悅、故必責爾、斯人得救、若脫於火、約書亞衣服塵垢、立於天使前、主告左右曰、解其污裳、又曰、我宥爾愆尤、衣爾明衣、又曰、當以美冠加其首、爰取美冠、以冠厥首、明衣以被厥體、耶和華之使者、立於彼、

於是欲加翦滅、惟有摩西、為上帝所遴選、代民祈求、爰息震怒、不殲斯族兮、

二人往所多馬、亞伯拉罕尚立於耶和華前。
